Episode 3.1 "A Tale of Two Cities"
A Jack Episode
Songs: Downtown - Petula Clark; Moonlight Serenade - Glenn Miller; The Thunderer - John Phillip Sousa

A blonde woman named Juliet, was at home crying in front of her mirror and put in a CD playing "Downtown" by Petula Clark. She gets dressed, accidentally burns her hand trying to get muffins out of the oven, her mom Amelia stops by, and she has a plumber fixing her house. A couple of people stop over for their book club and ask where Ben is. Juliet says that Ben isn't with her anymore and stopped being in the book club. All of a sudden there is an earthquake! They all huddle in Juliet's house until it passes. Juliet and the rest go outside and "Henry" comes out of another house! They are all living in a suburban area! Juliet asks "Henry" if this is it and they look up towards the sky! Oceanic Flight 815 is smoking and flying low, then breaks into the 3 pieces and crashes on the island! “Henry" then tells Goodwin to go to the tail section survivors and then he tells Ethan to go to the fuselage survivors! They had to study them and blend in. Then it shows that "the Others" actually live in homes on the island! Back in the present, Jack wakes up in a room. He's on an examine table and blood has been taken from his arm! He rips the bandage off and walks around the room. He tries to open the door, but it won't budge. Jack then walked towards the other side, but ran into a glass wall! It was a mirror! He then starts yelling for someone, and then for Kate, since she was with him. No one answers him and he's trapped alone. Meanwhile, Kate wakes up in some sort of gym locker room. She sees water running and Tom is there with her. He tells her to clean up and get a shower. Kate asks where Sawyer and Jack are, but Tom doesn't answer. He leaves Kate alone, and she realizes that she has had blood taken too. Sawyer wakes up in a cage with some levers and a food button. A young guy, named Karl is in the cage next to him. Sawyer presses the food button twice, but as he goes for the third time, Karl tells Sawyer not to push it. Sawyer presses the button and gets launched backwards and hits his head on the bars! Back in his cell, Jack spots a chain and starts to yank it. Suddenly a light comes on across the glass barrier and Juliet is standing there! She tells him not to pull the chain, but Jack asks where his friends are. Juliet doesn't answer, but warns him again not to pull the chain. He doesn't listen and pulls on it some more. Juliet just sits there patiently and tells him that if he corporates, things will be better. Kate then gets out of the shower and notices that her clothes are gone from the locker. She then sees a tape note to wear something else. It's a dress, which stuns her. She puts it on, and Tom finds her. Tom tells her that "He" is waiting. They lead her out of the building and into the jungle. Then they come across some of the beach. "Henry" is there waiting for her at a gazebo! Kate is hesitant, but she is forced to join him. "Henry" pulls out the seat for her and lets her sit down. He has breakfast for her and coffee. However, Kate notices a pair of handcuffs on the table. "Henry" asks her to put them on, but Kate doesn't want to. He forces her, and makes her put them on tight. Kate asks where Sawyer and Jack are, and Henry asks "Why did you say Sawyer first?" She looks at him weird, but he's smiles his creepy smile. Kate then asks why he is doing this and "Henry" says, "You need something nice to remember. The next 2 weeks will be very unpleasant for you." Kate gets freaked out by this. Jack then realizes that there is water dripping on his face. Juliet is gone, and he hears a clicking noise. Jack goes to this old intercom and hears his DAD say "Let it go Jack", before it quits. Juliet then returns with a grilled cheese sandwich and some water and she asks to come in. He tells her to stop playing with the intercom, but Juliet says it's been broken for a long time. Jack doesn't believe her, but Juliet tells him to eat. He doesn't want to so she starts asking him questions about his job before the crash. Jack lies and tells her he worked as a tax collector. When she asks if he was married, Jack said he never was. She then asks what he was doing in Sydney, and Jack does tell her that his father died there. When she sees Jack get upset, she tells him she's sorry and she leaves again. Meanwhile, Sawyer wakes back up to notice Karl trying to escape! Karl gets his door opened and then opens Sawyer's. They both run off in different directions, and Sawyer runs into Juliet! She then tazers him and he collapsed! Tom and some more of "the Others" drag Sawyer back to his cage. They also caught a now bloody Karl and made him apologize to Sawyer for helping him. Then they leave again. Back to Jack, Juliet comes back and tells him that the drug they gave him has a side effect for dehydration and he needs water. She tells Jack to sit against the far wall and wait until she leaves the plate and water. Jack then asks what the yellow button is for and she says emergencies. Jack hesitates and then starts to sit down and wait for the food. Juliet smiles and walks in. As she does though, Jack runs up and tackles her! He finds her tazer and holds it up to her neck! Jack forces her to lead him out and she does. They run into "Henry" and Jack says that he'll KILL her if they don't get out! "Henry" totally scared, says he'll kill all of them if he opens that door, but Jack doesn’t listen. So, "Henry" runs to another door but closes it on Juliet! Jack then opened the door and water blasted into the room! As water is filling it up, Jack saves Juliet from downing and she tells him to push that yellow button! Jack does and the water stops and they shut the door. Jack thinking everything is safe tries to ask Juliet a question, but she punches him and knocks him out! Then she brought him out of the water. In flashbacks, we got to see the darker side of Jack! He started to follow his wife Sarah around. He even waited in his car as she was out with the kids she taught during recess. He then went to the divorce meeting, but he didn't bring his lawyer. He was contesting it. Jack then spoke to Sarah and tried to get her to tell him the name of the guy she was with. However, she wouldn't say. But she dropped her cell phone! Jack then got the call log, and starting calling all of the numbers on it, pretending not to know Sarah! Christian walked in and found him. He told Jack to stop all of this, but Jack found Christian's number in her phone! Jack then got angry and asked why. Christian wouldn't say, and Jack started to wonder what was going on. A few days later, Jack saw his dad laughing with someone on his cell phone. Jack then decided to follow his father to where he was going. Christian walked into a hotel room and Jack bursted in! However, it was an AA meeting. The moderator asked if he was Jack, and Jack started yelling about his dad saying that he was a drunk, especially when he was little, but the lady told him that his dad was 55 days sober. Christian tried to get him to stop, but Jack wouldn't listen. He then asked flat out if his dad was sleeping with Sarah! Christian told him no, but Jack tackled him and fought him! Which end up putting Jack in JAIL! Sarah then bailed Jack out, and told him that Christian was drinking again. She told Jack that she wasn't with his dad, and the guy she was with was standing on the street by her car. Jack asked why she was leaving him, and Sarah said "Cuz he's everything you'll never be." Sarah then told him that he now had something to fix, his father. But it never happened. Back in the cages, Sawyer finally figured out how to get the food out of the machine. It started playing the a 4th of July type song and a fish biscuit came out. Tom and another "Other" brought Kate out of the jungle and placed her in a cage across from Sawyer. They took off her handcuffs, showing bloody wrists, and left her there. Tom did see that Sawyer got the biscuit and said "It took the bears only 2 hours to figure that out!" After they left, Sawyer asked how Kate was doing. She said she was fine, but she was crying. He tried to cheer her up with a joke, and it helped for a little bit. But when he asked if she saw Jack, she got distant and shook her head no. Sawyer nodded, and then asked if she was hungry. Kate nodded and Sawyer threw her his biscuit. The criminal and the fugitive were now both in cells. Jack, now awake again in his cell, saw Juliet looking threw a stack of papers. Jack told her that he figured out they were underneath an aquarium. Juliet nodded and said that was where they kept the sharks and dolphins when it was the Hydra Station. Jack then asked her if this was a part of Dharma. She nodded, but said it was a long time ago and they aren't now. Juliet then said that they knew he was a doctor in Los Angelus, graduated from Columbia early, was married once and contested his divorce at first. Jack looked at her and asked what was going on and what those papers where. Juliet told him that it was his life. They knew everything about him and his family, and even had Christian's autopsy report! Juliet asked if there was anything else he anted to know, and Jack then asked if Sarah was happy now, and Juliet answered yes. Jack started to cry and let Juliet bring him in food. As Juliet went into the hallway, she saw "Henry". He told her that she was doing a great job. Juliet nodded and said "Thank you Ben."

Episode 3.2 "The Glass Ballerina"
A Sun/Jin Episode

Sun was getting morning sickness on the boat. Jin went to check if she was ok, and she was. They both then joined Sayid at the top and he was looking at the islands maps. The signal fire was still burning. Sayid then told Sun to translate that Jack couldn't see the smoke, so they had to head north and build a new one. However, Jin told them no and that they should wait. Sun, then spoke up and sided with Sayid and said that she would help steer the boat, much to Jin's approval. Back in his cell, Jack was just staring off at the wall, when Juliet came in. She had made him soup and left it there for Jack to eat. He wouldn't talk, so Juliet left. All of the doors were guarded, and she knocked on another door. Ben opened it and he was in a room with monitors on them. Each one either had Jack or the cages with Sawyer and Kate. He then told Juliet that she never made soup for him. Juliet was about to talk again when a new girl came down a ladder. Her name was Colleen and she asked if she was interrupting anything. They said no, and Colleen said that Sayid, Sun, and Jin were sailing around on a boat! Ben worried how they got a boat, and Colleen had no idea. Juliet said that it didn't matter, but Ben told Colleen that he wanted that boat and to send a team to get it! In the cages, Sawyer woke Kate up when he got another fish biscuit out. Then "the Others" including Tom and Pickett, went and got Sawyer and Kate out. Pickett then gave Sawyer a lunch box and said that was their lunch. Both of them were coming with him for work. Kate and Sawyer were confused, but all of a sudden Colleen yelled to Pickett, calling him Danny. They then talked to where Sawyer and Kate couldn't hear, and about the boat. Pickett nodded and kissed her on the cheek as she left. Then they took the 2 for work. Back on the boat, Sun came back from the gallery and saw Sayid loading a gun! Sun then went to talk with Jin and told him she was sorry. Jin said they she shouldn’t have disagreed with him period! Sun then nodded and looked away. Kate and Sawyer were then lead to another part of the island. Pickett told them that they had to work and move the rocks. Kate had to break them up and Sawyer had to hull them. Kate asked if she should in the dress, and then Pickett said something sexist towards her about taking it off, and Sawyer joked about it! Kate then turned her eyes down and kept quiet. Pickett then told them that they had to do what he said, or they would get shocked with the tazer! Kate then yelled that she wasn't going to do anything till she saw Jack, but Pickett then shocked Sawyer! Sawyer fell to the ground and Kate was scared. Pickett then yelled at Sawyer to follow to rules too. Jin was below deck cutting a fish when he heard Sun yelling for him. He went up to the deck and she pointed towards a dock. Sayid figured that this would be a good spot for a fire and that they should dock the boat. Sun looked nervous, but Jin agreed to dock the boat. Back in the fields, Kate was hitting the rocks and Sawyer was using a wheel barrel to move them. Then Sawyer actually stopped to check Kate out, but Pickett noticed and yelled at him. He went back to work, but Kate heard a noise! She saw a girl! It was Alex! She asked Kate if she saw someone in the cages about her age named Karl! Kate said no, and then Alex told her she was wearing her dress. When Kate tried to ask what her name was, Alex wouldn't say, but smiled and left. Sawyer then went to help Kate out with her work, but Pickett yelled at him again! So, he left. Now, on the beach, Sun brought the gas cans to Sayid as he was lighting the fire. With Jin not understanding English, she talked to Sayid and told him she knew this was a set up. Sayid nodded and said that they were going to capture 2 "Others" and kill the rest to find out where Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are. Sun then started to worry about if this was exactly what "the Others" wanted them to do! After Sayid got the fire lit, Jin then said in Korean, that he knew that Sun and Sayid were planning a trap, and that he understands English better then they thought! Sun translated this to Sayid and he was shocked! Jin then said that he could help and Sayid gave him a gun to see if he could use it. Jin then showed that he could change the bullets and operate it! Sun and Sayid were shocked, but Sayid was glad for more help. When Sun asked if she could help, Jin and Sayid then told Sun to stay on the boat and there was a gun if she needed it. She needs to protect her child. Sun then listened, but she was mad. Back at the fields, Sawyer saw Juliet talking with one of "the Others" and she noticed him. Juliet smiled at him and threw him her water. He then pretended to thank her, but poured the water out. Juliet just looked back at him not surprised and Sawyer went back towards Kate. After watching her a few seconds, he just ran up and kissed her! However, Pickett got really mad and he picked up his gun and ran! He knocked Sawyer down and a few more "Others" fought with Sawyer. Sawyer was able to punch some of them out and get a gun, but when he turned around, Juliet had a gun to Kate! She told him to stop and he did. Kate looked at him mad because he used her again, and Sawyer was shocked unconscious! At night, Sayid and Jin were hiding in the trees waiting for "the Others". Sun was waiting on the boat when she heard noises from above! Sun grabbed the gun Sayid told her about and waited. Colleen then came down and called Sun by her name and told her not to shoot. She said that they wouldn't hurt her, unless Sun shot her. Sun didn't believe a word of it and as Colleen came close, Sun fired and shot her! Then the rest of "the Others" started shooting at her and Sun climbed out and ran! Sayid and Jin heard this and ran towards the boat, which was now sailing off! Sayid fired his gun and Jin jumped in the water! As Sun ran, she jumped off the boat into the water! In flashbacks, we finally got to see Sun as a little girl. She broke a glass ballerina that her father gave to her. And when asked she lied about it, making her father angry. But she never told him the truth. Then, years later, Sun did have an affair with Jae! Jae really did love her and wanted Sun to leave Jin and move to America with him! Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Sun's dad caught the 2 of them together! He yelled at his daughter and told her that she was dishonoring their family. Sun then left and was scared her father would tell. Jin then had a meeting with Mr. Paik. He told Jin that he had to get rid of Jae, but wouldn't say why. Jin told him that he couldn't kill, but Sun's dad finally called Jin his "son" and said that he had to honor their family by doing this. Jin then agreed. That night Sun saw Jin come home and asked him about what happened at work. He said that Sun's dad finally called him "son" and that he had to do a job. Sun immediately thought of Jae and told Jin not too, but Jin left. When Jin got to Jae’s apartment, he started to beat him up really badly! Jin told him that he knew what was going on and he had to take care of it! However, Jin didn't kill him. He told Jae to go to America and leave. Jae agreed and Jin left. However, as Jin left, Jae fell from his apartment committing suicide! And he was holding the pearl necklace he wanted to give to Sun! At the funeral, Sun and her father both attended. Sun then asked her father if he was going to tell Jin. Mr. Paik said no and that it was Sun's place to tell. In the present, Jin yelled out Sun's name and she emerged from the water! They both hugged and cried and made their way back to the beach. As they sat there, Jin made sure Sun and the baby was ok. Sun nodded and when she was going to tell him about Jae, but Sayid interrupted and told them to get some rest because the walk back home was going to be long. Sun nodded and Jin got up and helped. Back at the cages, Kate asked Sawyer why he kissed her. Sawyer at first lied and said that she just looked cute, which Kate smiled to, but then he revealed that he tested “the Others” to see how tough they are. Sawyer was making a plan for an escape! Kate laughed figuring out that it made sense and could work. However, Ben was watching them and could HEAR everything they said! Ben then walked into where Jack was, still sitting in the corner. He then joked saying that he and Jack were in the opposite positions 2 weeks ago. Ben then walked over and said it was time to properly introduce himself. His name was Benjamin Linus and he's lived on the island his whole life! Jack looked at Ben like he was crazy, but Ben got up and said it was time to change his perspective. They were still in touch with the outside world! He told Jack that in the time they've been on the island, George W. Bush got reelected, Christopher Reeve died, and the Red Soxs won the World Series! Jack started hysterically laughing, because he and his dad were Sox fans and they always believed in that curse. However, Ben said he had proof. A TV was wheeled in and Ben pressed play! All of a sudden the tape of the 2004 World Series was on and it showed the Red Soxs wining and Joe Buck announcing that the curse was finally broken and the players celebrating! Jack walked to the glass separating the room and saw that impossible things do happen! He was really happy and was amazed! Ben noticed this and told Jack, that if he does 1 thing for "the Others", Ben will take him back home to America!

Episode 3.3 "Further Instructions"
A Locke Episode
Songs: I Feel Like Going Home - Muddy Waters

Locke woke up in the jungle. He was confused at first and looked around. Locke saw Desmond running in the jungle, but Desmond disappeared. So, as Locke stood, a tree limb fell towards him. However, it was Eko's Jesus stick! Locke then made his way back to camp and Claire and Charlie spotted him tearing apart one of the shelters. They had no idea what was going on and Charlie went to ask what Locke was doing. Locke was at the church Eko was building and working on something. Charlie asked what was going on, but Locke couldn't speak! He was mute! He signed to Charlie to tell him that he needed to speak to the island! Charlie was freaked out, but he decided to help. Locke wrote him a note saying that Charlie had to stand guard. Charlie agreed, but was totally confused saying "You do know that I detest you?" Locke then had a hut built in the church and made some weird paste stuff. He wrote to Charlie that he had to do a sweat vision. Locke went into the hut and ate some of the paste. Then he poured water on the fire and himself, and waited. Suddenly a hand touched him! It was Boone! Locke tried to talk and Boone could understand him. Boone said that it was ok that Locke was sorry. It's was Boone's time and he was a sacrifice. Locke tried to ask why he couldn't speak, and Boone said it was because he doesn't have anything worthy to say yet. Boone also said "You have to bring the FAMILY back together John." Then Boone told Locke he had to come with him. Locke was confused but nodded. However, Locke couldn't move his legs! Boone motioned to a wheelchair and said he had to use it! Suddenly Boone was pushing Locke in the wheelchair at the airport! All of the castaways were there. Locke pointed to Charlie, Claire, and Aaron and Boone said "They will be fine, for awhile." Then, Locke pointed to Sayid, Sun, and Jin. Boone replied "Sayid's taking care of it." Next, Hurley was behind the Oceanic counter and was all friendly while typing the numbers into the computer. Boone replied that Hurley would be ok. Then Desmond was the pilot and came with a lot of girls. Boone said "He can take care of himself." Finally, Locke saw Jack, Kate, and Sawyer! They were in the security line with Jack towards the front. Kate and Sawyer were talking, laughing, and planning something. Locke looked really confused. Then Jack stepped through the metal detector, after taking off his watch, and was being wanded by Ben! Boone then told Locke, he had to save the 3 of them! But someone else needing saving first! Boone disappeared, but was at the top of a huge escalator! Locke had to climb them without his legs moving. Then, when Locke reached the top, Eko's Jesus stick was there and it was bloody! When Locke looked up, Boone was a zombie! He said "You have to save Eko first!" Then Locke saw a polar bear leaping at him and he woke up out side of the hut! Charlie rushed over and asked if he was ok, and Locke picked up one of his knives! Locke then said "I have to save Eko from the polar bear!" Later that day, Locke and Charlie were in the jungle heading towards the hatch. When they got there, the hatch was completely imploded! All that was left was a crater! Charlie asked how Locke got out, and he had no idea. They then walked off and found some of the polar bears fur and a boar it killed. Charlie said that when he used to get high, he would watch nature shows and learned that polar bears are really smart. But suddenly, they heard a roar! The polar bear was chasing them! Locke and Charlie ran until they didn't hear it. But Locke got out his knife and waited. When he heard some noises, he threw his knife! Suddenly, someone said "Ow"! It's was Hurley and the knife went into his canteen! After the shock wore off, Hurley then told Locke and Charlie what happened to him and that Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were kidnapped. Locke told Hurley to go back to the beach, because they had to get the polar bear. Hurley agreed but got scared. Locke told Charlie to go back to Claire, but Charlie wanted to stay and help out. Locke then said that bad things always happened to people who stay with him. They both then found the cave where the polar bear was at! In flashbacks, Locke picked up a hitchhiker named Eddie. Eddie was young and wouldn't say where he came from. When a cop pulled them over, Locke showed him that all the guns he had were properly owned and he was a hunter. The cop cleared it, but when asked about Eddie being a hitchhiker, Eddie got Locke to lie saying that he was Eddie’s uncle. They both then soon arrived at a hippie campground! Locke was living there, since Helen left and everything with his father! He introduced Eddie to Mike and Jan, the couple that headed everything up. They seemed nice and welcome Eddie into the "family". Locke then led the prayer before they ate. However, 6 weeks later when Eddie asked about the greenhouse, Locke wouldn't go into detail. Then, Locke went to talk with Mike and Jan, but they were packing up their things. They were growing marijuana! They found out Eddie was a cop and they tried to leave. Locke said that he would take care of it, but Mike and Jan wanted him to kill Eddie! So, one day Locke took Eddie hunting, but raised his gun to him when he turned his back! Locke told him that he knew, and Eddie admitted it. He said they chose Locke because of his clean record and he was easy to coheres! Locke got angry, and told him he was going to kill him. Eddie said he wasn't a murderer and he wasn't a hunter, and after a standoff, Eddie left. But they didn't show if Locke shot him or not! Back on the island, Hurley was walking in the jungle when he found Desmond! However, all of Desmond's clothes were gone! Hurley then gave him a shirt to wear and he put it on. Back in the cave, Locke got a hairspray bottle and put mud on him to cover his sent. He went in and lit Eko's Jesus stick. Inside the cave were bones, Dharma clothes, and a bloody Eko! However, the polar bear was there and Locke threw his knife at it! Then he sprayed the hair spray to make the fire launch on the polar bear! It cried out in pain and Locke grabbed Eko and ran! Charlie met them when Locke came out. He then helped Locke walk Eko back to camp. Meanwhile, Hurley and Desmond were talking and he told Desmond about Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Desmond replied "We'll get them. Locke said so in his speech." Hurley stared at him wondering what that meant and Desmond then didn't say anything else except he was mistaken. Locke and Charlie stopped and put Eko down to get water. As Locke waited, he told Eko he was sorry for not believing him. Eko then woke up and told Locke it was ok. "That he was a hunter." Then Eko said, “You have to bring the family back now.” Locke was surprised and when Charlie came back, told him that Eko was awake. However, Eko was still out! Claire was getting water, when she saw Locke and Charlie caring Eko! She ran over, along with Paulo and Nikki to help. Nikki asked where Jack was, and that's when Hurley came up and said that Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were captured! Nikki and Claire got scared. After Eko was put down, Locke joined the group and told them that they would be fine. He was going to find Jack, Kate, and Sawyer after they got Eko better. Locke took charge and told Paulo to tell the rest of the castaways. Then he told Claire to go get the medical supplies. Claire nodded and ran off. Charlie then came back and told Hurley that Locke gave a nice speech. Hurley was shocked and looked at Desmond! Charlie noticed and asked what happened. Hurley replied that it was just deij ja vu!!! And Desmond was throwing rocks into the ocean.

Episode 3.4 "Every Man for Himself"
A Sawyer Episode

Desmond was sitting on the beach watching Claire and Aaron. He walked up to her as Claire was writing in her diary. Desmond told her that her roof needed to be fixed. Claire didn't know that, and Desmond offered to fix it. However, Charlie came by and asked what was going on. When Desmond told him, Charlie said he could fix it himself. Desmond agreed and left. Meanwhile, Jack was in his cell watching cartoons. He heard knocking and sat down in the corner. Juliet walked in with some food. Jack asked her if that's what her job was, and Juliet said no. Jack then told her that he knew Ben was the leader. However, Juliet said that they all work together and she "doesn't answer to anyone." Suddenly, Ben walked in and told Juliet they had a situation. The submarine was back and someone was hurt! Juliet then left with Ben, leaving Jack to wonder what was going on, and he could hear them through the door. In the cages, Pickett came up to get Sawyer and Kate for work, but he got a page on his walkie talkie. It was about Colleen, and soon they passed by with her on a stretcher and Pickett went after them, leaving Kate and Sawyer. Kate asked what happened, and Sawyer said "One of us shot them". He knew it had to have been Sayid, Sun, or Jin. So, Sawyer set a trap for whoever came to get them next. He made a pool for electricity to go to, since the food button was sending out sparks. Kate was impressed by this. Sawyer said that they were going to get out. Kate then said that they had to find Jack first. But Sawyer said "Who cares about Jack? It's every man for himself." Kate was clearly hurt by that. Later, Ben came up to Sawyer. Asked him how much he weighed. Sawyer was confused but said 180. Then when asked his age, Sawyer first said 32, but Ben knew he was lying. His real age is 35. As Ben came closer he stepped in the puddle and tried to unlock Sawyer cage. However, Sawyer grabbed him, and pushed the button with his foot! However, nothing happened. Ben then said, "We turned the power off." Ben then hit Sawyer with a nightstick and opened his cage up! Kate was yelling, but Ben wouldn't stop and knocked Sawyer out. When Sawyer woke up, he was in a cell similar to Jack's! Tom and a few more "Others" were in there, and Sawyer was strapped to a table! He started to yell, and "the Others" gave him a stick to bite on. Then a huge needle came out and it was aimed right at Sawyer heart! One of "the Others" said, it's just like in that movie. So, they put the needle in Sawyer's chest and he passed out. However, Jack could hear everything that was going on! Back on the beach, Desmond saw Paulo golfing. He asked if he could borrow one of the clubs for something he was building. Paulo gave him the 5 iron, but warned Desmond to be careful in the jungle. Desmond said he would, and helped Paulo fix his golf swing. Sawyer then woke up with a bandage over his heart! Ben and Tom walked in with a white rabbit in a cage. Ben placed the cage over Sawyer's chest and started to shake it! The rabbit died, and Ben said it was because of its pace maker, which Sawyer now had one in him too! He told Sawyer that he had to keep it below 150, or his heart would explode! And if he fought back or told Kate, Kate would get one too! So, Ben gave him a watch to monitor his heart rate and led him back to the cages. Tom also gave Kate some new clothes to wear. After "the Others" left, Kate asked Sawyer what happened. He wouldn't tell her and she got upset. Kate then told Sawyer to turn around so she could change. He did, but when he saw Kate, his heart rate went up! Kate heard that beeping and asked what it was. Sawyer wouldn't tell her and turned away, pouring water on his face to make his heart go back down. After Kate changed, she told Sawyer she could squeeze through the bars! Sawyer said that wasn't a good idea, and Kate wondered what changed his mind. Back in his cell, Jack could hear them operating on someone. Juliet ran in, and Jack asked what they were doing with Sawyer. Juliet said it wasn't Sawyer and said "We need your help! She's dying!" Jack first thought she meant Kate! However, Juliet said it was one of them. Jack then agreed and went to help. Kate and Sawyer then heard loud sirens blaring and saw Jack coming with a hood on his head! He was being led out by Juliet and some "Others". Sawyer started yelling doc! And Kate started desperately screaming for Jack! And Jack did hear her though the sirens! He turned towards Kate, but Juliet pushed him out of the way, making Kate panic. Jack then was led to an operating room. Ben asked what he was doing there, and Juliet said that Jack could help. As Jack was washing up, he noticed some spinal x-rays. However, Juliet said that they don't belong to the woman. So Jack went inside and Pickett got angry! He didn't want Jack to operate on his WIFE! Ben and Tom got Pickett to leave and they waited outside. Juliet told Jack she got the bullet out, but this was all new to her. Jack took over and started to work on Colleen. Ben was impressed how Jack was operating and trying to save one of "the Other's" lives. But Colleen started to flat line, and Jack tried to resuscitate her. However, Colleen died. Tom started to cry, Ben was really sad, Juliet was crying, and Pickett got angry! He stormed off and went after Sawyer! When Pickett got to his cage, he started to beat Sawyer up really badly! Kate yelled at him to stop, and Sawyer's watch started to beep! Pickett asked if Kate loved Sawyer! Sawyer was lying next to her cage, and Kate replied "Yes, I love him!" And Pickett stopped. Kate started crying while Sawyer was all bloody. In flashbacks, Sawyer was in prison! Cassidy put him there and Sawyer had been in the Florida prison for 9 months. While he was going to lunch, a new guy was getting beat up. His name was Munson. So, Sawyer befriended the guy and told him that he could help get the warden off his back. Munson was a bank robber, and needed help for his wife. Sawyer saw Munson's wife, and also got a visitor himself! It was Cassidy! She told Sawyer that she was sorry for putting him in there, but for his cons, he deserved it. But that wasn't why she was there! She gave BIRTH to Sawyer's DAUGHTER! Her name was Clementine. Sawyer didn't believe Cassidy at first, but she told him they were living in New Mexico if he ever wanted to see them. So, Sawyer decided to help Munson rob another bank. However, when he met with the warden, Sawyer was working with them to make Munson have a longer jail sentence! Which made Sawyer get out of jail early! And for a reward they gave him part of the $10 million. But Sawyer didn't want it. He wanted the money to go to his daughter! Back in the present, Kate decided it was time to escape! She climbed to the top of her cage and got out! Sawyer was yelling at her not to, but she tried to open his cage. He told Kate it was "Every man for himself, and if you really love me, you'll leave." However, Kate got angry! She told him no. She only said she loved him so he wouldn't get killed. Then Kate climbed back in her cage! When she got down, she said "Live together, die alone." Sawyer then knew, she meant Jack. Meanwhile, Ben was watching this on the screen with Tom. Tom asked what they should do next, and he said Sawyer would be fine. Then Tom asked about Jack, and Ben switched to monitor him. He said to leave him there. Jack was now handcuffed to Colleen's bed! Juliet walked in and thanked him for helping. That was a new experience for her. Jack asked what Juliet really does, and she said she was a fertility doctor! Then as Juliet was getting the handcuffs off Jack, he asked her who had the tumor. She was surprised, but Jack said he knew it was one of them and it was a male in his 40's. Jack then figured out that they needed him to do spinal surgery! Back at the beach, Desmond made a huge tower with the golf club at the top! Hurley asked what that was for, and Desmond said it was a science experiment. So he sat on the table and Hurley waited with him. Desmond was watching Claire, Aaron, and Charlie and a storm came! It started raining hard and the 3 of them were getting wet because of the roof! Suddenly lightning struck the club, and it came crashing down! Desmond saved Claire from getting hit! Charlie looked at Desmond amazed and started to wonder how he knew to save Claire’s life! Back at the cages, Ben woke up Sawyer early in the dark to take him somewhere! They walked up a steep cliff, and Sawyer's heart monitor started to beep a lot! However, Ben stopped him to show him something. Sawyer was confused, but Ben pulled out the white rabbit! It was still alive! Ben said, "We never had a pace maker in him. It was just a sedative. Just like what we did with you." Sawyer got mad and punched Ben! And Ben replied "The only way to earn a con man's respect is to con him." Then Ben said he had 1 more thing to show Sawyer. Sawyer followed him to the edge and what he saw shocked him! They island the Hydra station is located, is another ISLAND! "The Others" live on a separate island! The submarine brought Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to them. Everyone else was on the big island. Ben compared it to Alcatraz. He then told Sawyer, it was a lonely life being by himself, and that everyone needed people around them. Defeated, Sawyer followed Ben back to the cages.

Episode 3.5 "The Cost of Living"

Eko was unconscious in his tent, as Sayid, Hurley, and Charlie checked up on him. Sayid, Sun, and Jin had made their way back to camp. Charlie filled Sayid in with what all happened, and they left. However, Eko woke up after having dreams about his brother, and saw Yemi there! Yemi had a lighter and said "It's time to confess! To be judged!" As Sayid, Hurley, and Charlie were walking, Hurley smelled smoke! Eko's tent was on fire! The 3 of them rushed over and got Eko out of there. Eko tried to tell Charlie about Yemi, but Charlie didn't understand. Locke rushed over and Charlie explained what happened. When Locke asked about Eko, Charlie looked and he was gone! Meanwhile, Jack was in his cell doing push ups, when Ben walked in. He was wearing a white tunic and gave one for Jack to change into. Jack then told him that he knew about his tumor. Ben was shocked and didn't understand how Jack knew. That's when Jack told him about the x-rays he saw. Ben was impressed by this and let Jack go with them. When they left, they came to a beach. "The Others" were having a funeral for Colleen. Everyone was dressed in white. Danny was crying, and Jack stood back and watched. Juliet then walked over to him and told him how she hated funerals. Jack nodded and watched as she went to join Ben and the rest. Music started to play on the speakers and "the Others" lifted the raft Colleen's body was on and put it in the ocean. As it sailed away, they lit it with fire. When Juliet joined Ben, he told her that Jack knew about the tumor. Juliet was shocked that he figured it out so quickly. Back at the beach, Locke, Sayid, and Desmond were talking about how to find Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Sayid didn't want Desmond in on it, but Locke said it was fine. Locke said he had an idea about contacting "the Others". Desmond then replied that the computers could also be used to communicate to the other hatches. Suddenly, Hurley and Charlie ran up to them and said that Eko still hadn't come back and Charlie said Eko kept talking about his brother. Locke then realized where Eko had gone. Back to the plane. Eko meanwhile, was really bloody from the polar bear, but was still walking through the jungle. He tripped and fell down! That's when a slight hint of BLACK SMOKE went by! All of a sudden, Eko started seeing people from his past! A drug lord threw his knife at him, and a little boy named Daniel told Eko "Confess!" But the soon disappeared! Back at the beach, Locke went up to gather some water and food. He then asked who all wanted to go to the Pearl station with him. Hurley was shocked saying that Jack would only take Sayid or Kate. Locke then said "I'm not Jack." So, Nikki decided she wanted to go. However, Paulo didn't want her too. She said that it was their chance to help. Paulo agreed, but he came with them. Back in the jungle, Eko stopped to get some water from a stream. He fixed his wounds, but as he was there something came up behind him! In the water it was shown that the smoke monster was towering behind him! But as Eko turned around, it disappeared! Locke and the group soon emerged and found Eko there. Jack was back in his cage when Juliet walked in. She made Jack something special. A cheeseburger and fries. Jack was surprised and thanked her for it. Juliet smiled and said it was hard, but she got it done. So they were talking, but Ben walked in. He started to get jealous of the way the two of them were talking. He forced Juliet to leave, so he could talk with Jack. After Juliet left, Ben told Jack that he was smarter than they thought. He foiled some of his plans. He told Jack they were going to break him, using Juliet because she resembled Sarah! Jack was shocked, but Ben said it was because he figured out about the surgery. But, Ben said that he wanted Jack to want to save his life. That's why he brought him there. As Ben was leaving, he asked Jack if he believed n God. Jack was surprised and asked Ben if he did. Ben replied, "Not at first. But I need surgery on my spine, and a spinal surgeon crashed here." Back in the jungle, Locke and Eko were walking through the jungle and he said he knew about Eko seeing Yemi again. However, Eko snapped and pinned Locke to a tree and said "Never speak about my brother again." The group got to the wreckage and the Pearl. Desmond, Sayid, and Paulo opened the hatch, while Locke went to talk to Eko. He started to help Eko move the rocks, and told him that he once saw something in the jungle. Locke said it was a bright white light. However, Eko said what he saw was very different and dark. After they moved the rocks, Eko went in to find his brother's body, but it was gone! When he came out of the plane, he looked at his old picture of him and Yemi as kids. Locke then gave Eko his cross he found in the jungle. In the Pearl, Nikki was sitting on one of the couches watching the old Dharma video, while Locke, Desmond, and Sayid were looking at everything. But Nikki noticed something from the video. She said that all the TVs monitor the other hatches. So, maybe if they changed the wires, they could see the other hatches. Locke totally forgot about it, thanked Nikki, and Sayid went to work. Suddenly they heard a toilet flush, and Paulo came out of the bathroom saying it still worked. As Sayid messed with the wires, they rest watched the screens. Suddenly, an image popped up on one! It was a man in an eye patch in another hatch! He looked at the camera before turning it off! Locke then said "He'll be waiting for us." Back in the cell, Juliet walked in, but in the glass incased room. Jack didn't understand what was going on, but Juliet said she was putting in "To Kill a Mocking Bird" for him to watch. Jack went up to the glass and Juliet started praising Ben and saying about the operation and how he needed it. However, as Jack looked down, Juliet was on screen giving him a message! She put it to where Ben couldn't see her doing that with the cameras! Her message said "Ignore everything I'm saying. Ben is a liar and he is very dangerous. Some of us want a change, but it has to look like an accident. It has to look like we tried to save him, and that's up to you, Jack. It's a complicated surgery. No one would ever know and I would protect you. Now tell me to turn off the movie." Jack then agreed and told her to turn the movie off. Juliet did and left the room giving Jack a knowing look. In flashbacks, Eko and his brother Yemi were both playing when they stole something. The nun made Eko confess for what he did, even though it was Yemi who made him do it. Years later, after the plane with Yemi left, Eko took over the church, but a young nurse named Amani didn't trust him. Her son Daniel was an alter boy and helped Eko with the church. They were going to be getting a shipment of vaccines soon, but the drug lords controlled it. They were evil and told Eko they would come after him if they did not give them the medicine. Eko tried to stop them by getting the shipment delayed, but they didn't care. The drug lords went after him in the church and Eko had to kill them to protect everyone. However, the villagers became fearful of Eko and decided to close the church. Amani said that Eko had to start repenting in London for God to forgive him. So Eko left to go to London to continue his studies. In the present, Yemi finally appeared to Eko. He ran off in the jungle and Eko chased him. They stopped at a clearing. Yemi said it was time to confess, but Eko said he did not need forgiveness. He gave the cross necklace to Yemi and he took it, then Eko knelt down. He told Yemi that the Lord placed him to lead this life and that he was only trying to protect him and everyone else. He even built that church on the island for him. However, Yemi said "You speak to me as if I am your brother!" Then he disappeared! It was the monster! Eko went running back through the jungle, but the smoke monster found him! As Eko stared it down it gave a huge ROAR and grabbed him! Then the monster started to fling him into the trees! Locke heard the roars, and he and the rest went after Eko! The monster finally dropped Eko and left him there, just like it killed the pilot. When Locke and the rest got there, Eko was lying on the ground. Locke rushed over and Eko whispered something to him. Then he DIED! Everyone was shocked and Sayid asked Locke what Eko said. Locke then replied "We're next"!

Episode 3.6 "I Do"
A Kate Episode

Kate woke up in her cage. Sawyer was playing with the food button again. It was annoying her, and he stopped. Meanwhile, Jack was in his cell looking at X-rays, when Ben and Juliet walked in. They asked Jack what he thought, and he told Ben that his tumor was borderline inoperable. He would have to get in to surgery ASAP. Ben agreed and said they would have everything ready, but Jack stopped him. Jack said that he wasn't going to do the surgery! He said he just wanted Ben to know how he was going to die! Then he flung the clipboard at Juliet when she tried to talk to Jack. Jack told her that he wasn't going to listen to them. Ben said he was disappointed in Jack, and Jack replied "You won't be disappointed for long!" Back at the cages, Pickett came to get Kate. He said that Sawyer had the day off and they were going to leave him. However, Kate wanted Sawyer to come with her. She said that they were a team. Pickett gave her a mean look, but got Sawyer out. Meanwhile, in the jungle, Locke told Sayid, Desmond, Nikki, and Paulo that they should bury Eko there. The people back at the beach didn't need to see that and they've had too many funerals already. Locke and Sayid then decided to go back to camp to get shovels. As they were walking, Sayid asked Locke what really killed Eko. Locke said it was called "the Monster". He asked Sayid if he believed in them, and Sayid replied "I believe in only what I can see." Then Sayid figured out that Locke must have seen it. Locke nodded but wouldn't say anymore. Sayid noticed Locke walking in a different direction, and Locke said they had to make a detour first. In the fields, Kate and Sawyer were working on the rocks, when an alarm sounded! Pickett told Kate and Sawyer to get down and they did. He then got on his walkie talkie and asked if "the doctor got out again?" Kate looked up when he said this. However, Alex came running out with a sling shot and hit some of "the Others"! She yelled "Where is he? I need to see him?" Pickett tried to calm her down, but she wouldn't. Another "Other" grabbed her and carried her away. But Alex was able to yell to Kate "They going to kill your boyfriend, just like they killed mine!" Kate was really freaked out by what she said and looked at Sawyer. Then, Juliet came to the fields and talked with Pickett. Kate couldn't hear what they were saying, but Pickett looked angry. Juliet then walked over towards Kate and told her to put the hood on. They needed her help. Kate at first wasn't going to but Juliet talked her into it saying they were going to kill Sawyer if she doesn't. So, Kate put the bag on her head. Juliet led her to a corridor and opened the door. Jack was waiting beyond the glass. Juliet took the bag off of Kate's head and Jack and Kate saw each other for the first time in days. They both smiled and had tears in their eyes when they saw each other! They walked closer to the glass and Juliet left the room, giving them privacy. Jack touched the glass, and Kate put her hands where Jack's were. Jack asked if she was ok, and Kate said yeah. They both smiled seeing each other again! He then asked what they were making her do. She told him that they were making her work hauling rocks for something big. Jack then asked her if "the Others" hurt her. Kate wouldn't say, but started to cry. Jack told her that everything was going to be alright. She then said that he had to do that operation on Ben! It was the only way for them to be safe. Jack started to get angry at Ben and asked her what they did to her. She said nothing, but then revealed that they were going to kill Sawyer if he didn't do the surgery! Jack realized that they got to her and were making her believe this. Jack then stormed off and looked at the monitors and said "We're done here!" Kate said she was sorry as Ben watched all of this. Ben then got angry and told Juliet to get Kate out of there. Juliet then brought Kate back to her cage. She noticed that Sawyer was gone and asked where he was. However, Pickett then came back and brought Sawyer back to his cage. And Pickett shoved Sawyer hard into his cage. Juliet told Danny to be nice, but Danny told her to shut up. After they left, Sawyer then asked Kate "How was your day honey?" Back in the jungle, the group had a funeral for Eko. Locke presided over it and said that Eko died for a reason, but "we just have to figure out what it was." He place Eko's Jesus Stick at the top to mark the grave. As Locke did, he noticed a Bible verse on it. "Lift up your head and look North' John 3:5" Locke then new that has to be where "the Others" are! Back at the cages, Kate asked Sawyer about why he was letting them do this to him. Sawyer was confused, but Kate climbed out of here cage! She ran over to Sawyer's and broke the lock off of it. She told Sawyer to go and run, but he wouldn't. She didn't understand, and he had no idea why she was staying too. He told Kate that they weren’t on their island, they were on another island. Kate got really disappointed, but all of a sudden, she kissed him. Sawyer asked her what was that for and Kate said she "had no idea." They got caught up in the heat of the moment and they slept together. Afterwards, Sawyer asked if Kate loved him. However, Kate didn't say a word, she just kissed him. Sawyer then said "I love you too.", believing that meant yes. Jack then woke up in his cell and heard noises coming from the speaker. A woman's voice came on and told him to open the door! Jack did and it was unlocked! He walked down the corridor and opened the door to the monitors. Then he found another door that had guns in it! Jack picked one up and went back to the monitors. When Jack got back there, he saw Sawyer and Kate together. He was stunned. Then Ben walked up behind him and said "It's shocking isn't it. I would have betted on the two of you to be together." Jack turned around and pointed his gun at him and said he was going to shoot. Ben told him that he wouldn't. Jack then lowered the gun and said he would do the surgery. But Ben had to get him OFF the island ASAP. In flashbacks, Kate was in a hotel room after she bought a veil. All of a sudden a knock came at the door and it was a police officer. Kate was shocked and tried to get the guy to go away. When she opened up the door, it was her fiancé Kevin! The two of them were getting married! However, Kevin called her Monica! As Kate was getting ready in the church, Susanne, Kevin's mom, gave her a family heirloom. It was her mother’s necklace and since she didn't have a daughter, she wanted Kate to have it. Kate cried and thanked her. Kate, going as Monica, and Kevin then got married. However, one day while she was shopping, Kate got to the phone booth and called the Marshall! She told Edward that she wanted them to stop chasing her. She told them she got married and wanted to live a normal life with the man she loved. The Marshall told her they would if they could talk with her. However, Kate hung up before they could trace the call. She and Kevin were living a normal life in Miami, Florida and Kevin got them Oceanic Airline tickets to go to Costa Rica for their honeymoon. However, Kate couldn’t get her passport and made up an excuse for not going. Then Kate took a pregnancy test, but it turned out negative. She cried because she was torn over what to do. One day when Kevin was looking up fugitive reports online, Kate decided to come clean. She told him that she was a fugitive from Iowa and she killed her birth father. Kevin and shocked but he still wanted to help her. However, as he tried to come towards her he fell! Kate drugged him! She said that she had to do this so it would look like he had no idea about her. After he passed out, Kate told him she loved him, but she couldn't be the wife and mom because of what she did. She kissed him and put Susanne's necklace in his hand. Back on the island, Jack and Juliet got ready for the surgery. It looked exactly like a hospital and they all had their scrubs on. Ben was on the table and he asked Juliet if Alex was here. Juliet said that Alex went home, but didn't ask about him. They then gave Ben the anathesthia and Jack went to work. As he did, Pickett and Tom were watching from the gallery. Pickett said "Why is Ben letting him do this? Shephard wasn't even on JACOB'S LIST!" Pickett then got angry and left, heading towards the cages! It was raining and Pickett opened the cage and violently pulled Kate out! He then went after Sawyer! Jack then was operating, and Juliet kept giving him looks. Suddenly, the heart monitor started beeping fast! Tom realized something was wrong and Jack gave Juliet a knowing look! She pretended not to know what was happening! Jack then took his surgical mask off and went to where Tom was. Jack told him that if he wanted Ben to live, he needed to talk to Kate! Pickett then put a gun to Sawyer's head and led him out of the cage! Kate was screaming, but she had a gun pointed at her too! Sawyer told Kate to close her eyes and she screamed "NO!" Pickett was about to shoot him, when Tom paged him! Pickett got angry and asked what was going on. Tom said that Jack was going to kill Ben unless he talked to Kate. Kate was stunned as she heard this. Pickett finally agreed and handed the walkie talkie to her. Kate spoke into it, and Tom gave his to Jack. Jack told her that she had about an hour’s head start and her and Sawyer had to leave! Kate started to cry and told Jack she wasn't going to leave without HIM! Jack told her that she has to. He said to take the walkie talkie with her and when she was safe, to page him back and tell him what he first told her when they first met. About counting to 5. Then Jack yelled 'RUN!!!"

Episode 3.7 "Not in Portland"
A Juliet Episode

Juliet head Jack's conversation with Kate from the last episode. She was starting to panic, since the surgery was not going at all like it should have been. Jack then tells Kate to "RUN"! After Kate and Sawyer hear this, Sawyer punches Pickett and starts to beat the crap out of him! And Kate starts to beat up the "Other" with her. When the 2 "Others" are down, Kate and Sawyer take the walkie talkie, lock them in the cage and run.Back in the operating room, Jack tells Tom that Ben will die if Kate and Sawyer aren't released. However, they hear the call that Kate and Sawyer broke out. Juliet tells Tom and some of "the Others" to get Kate and Sawyer back. Jack then starts yelling saying that Juliet told him to kill Ben. Tom laughs it off and Jack swears he's not lying. Juliet tries to play it off, but she does seem nervous for a bit. However, Tom believes her, which has Jack panicking. And Tom lets Juliet leave, since she isn't a surgeon. In the jungle, "the Others" get Pickett out of the cell and they start chasing after Kate and Sawyer, who have now found the beach. Kate sees the big island and realizes they are going to have to cross the ocean. So, Kate calls the one person who can always help: Jack. Which Sawyer had a funny line "Tell him I said "HI"!" She tells him that they need a boat. Jack then yells Tom to get them one or Ben dies. However, gunshots ring out and the walkie breaks! Jack's freaking out again because he didn't know they were on a separate island, and Kate and Sawyer start running again. Sawyer starts shooting back. Kate and Sawyer duck behind a group of trees, but Sawyer runs out of bullets! One "Other" is about to shoot them but some one hits him with a rock! It's Alex! Alex then leads the way and they all hide out in an underground hideout until Pickett and the rest are gone. Back in surgery, Jack and Tom start arguing again about getting Kate and Sawyer off that island. However, they hear a noise! It's Ben! He woke up during surgery! And he heard everything and knows Jack will let him die! And he asked to see Juliet. Later, Juliet is waiting outside and Tom comes to tell her Ben woke up and is asking for her. She's shocked, but decides to come. Meanwhile, Alex, Kate, and Sawyer all get out of the trap and she tells them she'll help if they help her. Sawyer asks what, and Alex says she wants to leave with her boyfriend. And Sawyer is the one who figures out it was Karl, who was in that cage next to him. They all agree and rush off to find Karl. Ben talks with Jack saying he has to see Juliet. Jack after a while lets her come see Ben. So, Jack and Tom watch from the gallery, but they can't hear what Ben and Juliet are saying. Tom then introduces himself formally to Jack and asks tells him that Juliet and Ben had a history together. When Juliet comes out, Jack asks her what Ben said. However, Juliet says she has to leave and help Kate and Sawyer escape! In flashbacks, we learned that Juliet Burke was a very timid person living in Miami, Florida. She had very low self-esteem and never thought she could be a leader. Her sister Rachel, had cancer, but Juliet was helping her by giving her injections. However, it was a fertility drug that she researched to help get people pregnant. And it worked! Rachel became pregnant. But Juliet was doing this all while hiding it at first from her ex-husband Edmund Burke, who also happens to be having an affair with a college of Juliet's named Sherry. One day, a science research group from Portland called "Mittelos Bioscience". They wanted Juliet for the work she's done to advance fertility. She ever got a male mouse pregnant, but he miscarried! But, Juliet feared Edmund wouldn't let her go, so she told them the only way was if a bus hit Edmund. So, one day when Juliet told Edmund about Rachel getting pregnant, and he GOT HIT BY A BUS AND DIED! This freaked Juliet out, and at the coroner’s office, the guy from the research group and ETHAN met her there! Juliet was even more scared, and they told her that they wanted her to go with them. They needed her and recruited her. However, their group wasn't in Portland. It was "the Others"! Juliet eventually agreed and arrived on the island September 11, 2001! Back in the present, Juliet went to the monitors and found Sawyer and Kate's location. Meanwhile, Alex, Kate, and Sawyer get to this building. Alex says Karl is in there, but a guy Aldo is watching it. Alex pretends to have found Kate and Sawyer to get Aldo to let them in. However, when he sees Alex, Aldo says "Why aren't you with your FATHER during his surgery?" Kate and Sawyer are stunned, and Sawyer is able to knock Aldo to the ground. Kate says to shoot him in the knee, but Sawyer won't. So, Kate gets the gun and almost shoots him, when Aldo says where Karl is, in room 23. After they find out, Kate knocks Aldo out with the gun. The 3 of them run into the building and find Karl strapped to a chair, with loud music blaring and images being shown! He's getting brainwashed! Kate and Alex help him out, but Sawyer starts to watch the images. They say: "Plant a seed and you will joyfully gather fruit"; "Everything Changes"; "We are the causes of our own suffering"; "God loves us and He loved Jacob"; "Think about your life". Sawyer gets entranced and Kate snaps him out of it. They all grab Karl and rush out of there. Pickett finds Aldo later and realizes the 3 have taken Karl as well. Juliet finds Pickett and tells him they can't hurt Sawyer and Kate now. However, Pickett rushes off with his gun in tow. Back in surgery, Jack is now getting the tumor out of Ben. Everything is going fine, until he accidentally cuts an artery! He's panicking and gets Tom to help him. At the beach, Alex shows them the canoe she has and they load Karl onto it. Alex starts to talk to Karl, but he keeps saying Danny. They turn and Pickett is there holding a gun! He aims it straight as Sawyer! Kate tries to run over, but Sawyer blocks her. He's about to pull the trigger, but someone shoots Pickett! It's Juliet! And he's dead! Juliet then tells them that they can go. Alex tries to go with them, but Juliet says she can't. Her father needs her. Alex understands and starts crying. She then talks to Karl and tell him that he has to leave so he can be free. Karl tells Alex he loves her and she says it back to him and kisses him. They get ready to leave, but Juliet calls out to Kate and gives her the walkie talkie to speak with Jack. Meanwhile, Jack is working on Ben trying to stabilize him, when Kate comes over the walkie talkie! Tom holds it for Jack to talk to her with. Kate tells Jack that they are getting ready to leave. Jack asks her to tell him the story. Kate remembers and says in full detail the conversation they first had together about fear, the 16-year-old girl, and counting to 5. Jack and Kate both start tearing up during this and Jack is able to get Ben stabilized. Kate starts crying as she's telling the story and Sawyer and Juliet realize Kate still has feeling for Jack! Jack then makes Kate promise him she'll never come back for him! Kate's crying and doesn't understand. But she does promise. And the radio turns to static. After she composes herself, Kate and Sawyer get behind the canoe and push it out onto the water. They leave with Karl headed for their island. Back in the operating room, Ben is fine and recovering. Jack watches from the gallery when Juliet walks in. She tells him that Kate and Sawyer are on their way home. Jack nods and asks what will happen to him now. Juliet replies that they don't know yet, but they are figuring it out. Jack then asks her what Ben said to her when he woke up. Juliet pauses and tells Jack that she has been on this island since September 11, 2001 and Ben told her that if she cooperated, she could go back home to the US. Jack is stunned, because Ben told him the EXACT same thing!

Episode 3.8 "Flashes Before Your Eyes"
A Desmond Episode

Desmond was trying to find someone on the beach. Meanwhile, Charlie and Hurley were going through Sawyer's stash to see what he had. Desmond finds them and tells them that they need to follow him. Charlie and Hurley are skeptical at first, but decided to come. They end up going into the jungle to meet Locke and Sayid. Locke ends up telling them that Eko died. Charlie and Hurley are stunned. They ask what killed him and all Locke will say is that is was the island. Sayid wants Charlie and Hurley to act normally so the rest of the camp won't freak out. They agree, but Desmond suddenly gets a worried look on his face! He then runs off and the guys follow Desmond. Desmond jumps in the water and everyone is shocked. Charlie gets to the beach, to find Sun watching Aaron. Claire is gone! Charlie then notices that Desmond is in the water. Desmond reaches who it is, and it's Claire facedown in the ocean! Desmond rescues her and brings her back to the beach. Charlie tries to help out, but Desmond makes him move out of the way. Claire's not breathing, so Desmond does CPR. After awhile, Claire coughs out the water and wakes up. Charlie tries to help, but Desmond picks Claire up and starts to walk away with her. Charlie is in shock wondering how Desmond knew, and Hurley replies to him "He sees the future dude." Later, Desmond is looking at a picture of Penny, when Claire walks up to him. She thanks him for saving her life. She said that she always goes swimming and that never happened before. He nods and smiles, but Charlie then walks over with Aaron. He tells Claire that she has to leave to feed him and she gets up. Charlie gets really jealous and starts to form a plan. That night, Hurley who is along with this, grab some alcohol and meet up with Desmond. They ask if he wants to drink, but he says no. He's done with the stuff. However, Desmond sees the bottle and starts laughing. He then agrees. They all got really drunk and started singing these goofy songs! After they sober up a bit, Charlie then asks Desmond how he knew Claire was in the water. Desmond looks at him and shrugs it off saying he heard her screaming. However, Charlie and Hurley don't believe him. They then ask about the lighting rod. Desmond gets angry and starts to walk off. Charlie stands up and yells at him to tell them what happened after the hatch imploded. Desmond then runs and tackles Charlie! Yelling at him "You don't want to know! In flashbacks, Desmond went back to that day the hatch imploded. He went to turn the key saying, "I love you Pen." Then when he turned it, Desmond woke up covered in red! He was on the ground and it looked like he was shot! Penelope walked over to him wondering if he was ok. Desmond was confused, but Penny told him he fell from the ladder while he was painting and got paint all over him. He was back in his London apartment! But he was still having flashes of the Hatch and the Island! Desmond went back in time to about 4-5 years before the Oceanic crash! The next day, Desmond was getting ready for an interview with Penny's dad, thinking everything about the island was in his mind. Penny helped him but her microwave started beeping! It sounded exactly like the Hatch computer! Desmond was freaked but shoved it off. He left and went to Widmore Industries and started seeing more things that were similar to the Island! Like the Numbers, a painting like in the Hatch, a Sailboat that looked like his, and the alcohol that Charlie served him! He tried to focus on what Charles Widmore was saying. He told Desmond that he wasn't good enough to work at his company. Then Desmond asked what he really wanted, and asked if he could marry Penny. Charles stared at him and told him point blank "You will never be good enough for my daughter." Desmond was stunned and walked out very angry. He ended up walking the streets of London and heard someone playing "Wonderwall" by Oasis. Desmond walked over to the guy singing, and it was CHARLIE! Desmond got even more freaked out and asked Charlie how he knew him. Charlie said he had no idea. Desmond then started talking about the Island and Charlie replied to everyone "See this is why you don't use drugs." Desmond then predicted that it was going to rain, and it started to pour! Later, Desmond went to see one of his friends who was a professor. They both went to the bar, and Desmond asked him if he believed in time travel. The professor shook it off telling him it can't happen. Suddenly, "Make Your Own Kind of Music" came on and Desmond remembered being in that bar! He told the guy the Brits would win the soccer game and Jimmy Lennon would hit the bar tender with a cricket bat! However, the professor watched the TV, but the Brits lost. Desmond was so confused and didn't understand why it didn't happen the way it was supposed to. That night, Desmond went back home and told Penny what happened with her dad. However, she gave him hope and Desmond decided to marry her. The next day, he went to a jewelry store a looked at the rings. An elderly woman met him and told him about the rings. She found one he could afford and gave it too him. However, she then said, "Desmond, give me the ring back." He was shocked and didn't understand how she knew him! She said he had to give the ring back. He and Penny are not supposed to be together. She told him He HAD to go to the Island or "We're all DEAD!” Desmond didn't believe her, but she told him to follow her outside. They stopped at a park bench and she pointed out the guy with red shoes. Desmond was confused, but started to ask her what she knew. Suddenly, the scaffolding fell on that guy with the red shoes and he DIED! Desmond asked her why she didn't do anything and she said that the universe has a way with getting what it wants. It was his time to die and if she stopped it, he would have died another way. She then said Desmond has to go to the Island. It will be the only way he will become a great man. Desmond was still freaked out and took the ring set to marry Penny. Later, he walked by the British Army recruiter office, and instead of going in, he walked on. He then met Penny and they stopped to take a picture together. It ended up being the same one Desmond has now on the Island! He looked at it and then realized that he had to do things exactly as they were supposed to be. He told Penny that he couldn't marry her! She was shocked and didn't understand why he was doing this. Desmond said they weren't supposed to be together and he broke up with her. Penny was completely crushed. After Desmond tossed the ring in the river, he went back to the bar. The alcohol was the same again as what he had on the Island, Mamma Cass came back on the jukebox, and the Brits soccer team won just like Desmond knew! He knew he was right! Suddenly, Jimmy Lennon came in and went to hit the bar tender, but Desmond told him to duck! He did and Desmond ended up being the one who got hit! The next thing he knew, he woke back up on the island! He then found his picture of him and Penny and saw that the Hatch imploded. The flashback ended and he was still on top of Charlie! He yelled saying he couldn't change what was going to happen. Hurley pulled Desmond off and said he was crazy. Desmond then started laughing and said he was sorry to Charlie. Charlie nodded and helped Desmond over to sit by a tree. He then told Charlie that he knew things because when the Hatch imploded his life flashed before his eyes. But the flashes won't stop. They keep happening. He then said that the lighting wasn't supposed to hit Claire, but kill Charlie. Then he saved Claire earlier, because Charlie would have drowned because he can't swim. Charlie was confused and didn't believe him. But Desmond said, "Whatever I do, YOUR GOING TO DIE CHARLIE!

Episode 3.9 "Stranger in a Strange Land"
A Jack Episode

Kate and Sawyer were on the canoe. They were headed back to the main island, when Kate had a change of heart. She faced Sawyer and told him to turn it around and they had to get Jack. He looked at her like she was nuts and said no. Kate was going to yell back, but Karl started mumbling again saying they would be killed if they went back. Then he said, "God loves you as he loved Jacob." However, Sawyer made their way back to big island, much to Kate's disapproval. Jack meanwhile, was waiting in his cell when Tom walked in. Tom said that they were going to move him, and Jack started to laugh. He told Tom just to say that they were going to kill him. However, Tom said they weren't and they aren't like that. Jack got really confused and asked why they took Claire, hung Charlie, and kidnapped the kids. But Tom wouldn't answer, but 2 more guys came in and put handcuffs on Jack and moved him. As he walked out, he passed Juliet, who was also handcuffed and being led to his cell. Then Jack passed an older blonde woman, Isabelle, who looked at him rather meanly. Later, Tom gave Jack, who was in Sawyer's cage, some food and said that Isabelle, who is like their police officer, would question him soon. Juliet was now in Jack's cell waiting to be questioned too. That night, Juliet came to the cage and said that she needed his help. She showed Jack a picture of Ben's back. The wound was now infected. However, Jack told her that he wouldn't help. Then, Isabelle stopped by Jack's cage. She asked him if he knew what his tattoos meant. Jack laughed her off saying that he did, but Isabelle wondered. She then took Jack in for questioning and Juliet was already in there handcuffed to a chair. Isabelle asked Jack if Juliet asked him to kill Ben. However, Jack told her that it was a lie. But Juliet told him to stop. She had to pay for whom she killed. Isabelle then asked why Jack was helping her, but he wouldn't answer. In the jungle, Kate, Sawyer, and Karl made camp for the night. Kate and Sawyer were talking about what to do next when Karl started saying that he missed Alex and found their star they used to look out of their backyard! Sawyer and Kate were confused so Kate asked where "the Others" live. Karl replied that they live on the main island, but work on the smaller one for projects! Kate then asked what happened to the kids. Karl replied, "We gave them a better life than you had." Kate and Sawyer got really freaked out wondering what exactly was going on this island. The next day, Sawyer went to talk with Karl about him liking Alex. Sawyer said that there is always that one girl who you count starts with. But Karl said he couldn't leave her. He loved Alex. So, Sawyer told him to "Cowboy Up" and go back home for her. Karl said that he would die, but Sawyer said it would be worth it. Jack then woke up the next morning in his cage, and a whole group of people where there watching him! He had no idea what was going on, but suddenly Cindy (the flight attendant) gave towards him. She smiled and asked how he was. Jack remembered her, but asked what she was doing there. She was kidnapped, but was there! Cindy didn't answer, but the rest of the people were from the tail section! Emma, with her teddy bear, suddenly came up and whispered to Cindy. She then asked Jack for the girl how Ana-Lucia was doing. Jack then snapped having no idea what was going on and asked why they were all here. Cindy then said that they were "Here to watch." Jack then told them all to leave and they did scared. But Zack, Emma's brother, looked at Jack disappointed. They all looked towards Jack as a leader. Later, Alex threw a rock and broke the camera. Jack looked towards her and she asked angrily why he fixed Ben. Jack then realized that Alex was his daughter. He told her that he fixed him for her and he wouldn't let him die. But Alex just rolled her eyes and was angry. Jack then asked where Juliet was. Alex replied that she was waiting for her VERDICT TO BE EXECUTED! Jack was shocked and had no idea why. Alex then said that they have a policy if they kill one of their own they have to die. "Eye for an Eye." But Jack wouldn't take it. He asked if Ben was awake. Alex nodded, and Jack told her to get him out of his cell. In flashbacks, Jack was in Thailand and finally relaxing from his stressful life without having to deal with Christian or Sarah. It seemed like he was there as a doctor and working in another country like a lot of them do. He got a long really well with the locals and met a woman named Achara. They formed a friendship, which turned into a relationship. But according to their customs, they had to keep it secretive. It was looked down upon for an American to get involved with a native. However, Jack noticed that Achara was getting money from her brother and all she said was it had to do with her gift to see people for who they really are. He had a feeling it was something illegal, so one night he followed her in the streets of Thailand. She went inside a building, but it turned out to be a tattoo parlor. Jack asked why she couldn't tell him, but she got so fearful and wouldn't explain. Jack then asked if she could see the real him. Achara replied, and fearfully said that Jack was a leader and a great man. But this caused him so much pain, suffering, loneliness, and anger. Jack nodded and then told her to put it on him. Achara got freaked out and said no, but Jack forced her to give him the tattoos. That's how he got the Chinese symbols on his left arm. The next day, everyone wouldn't talk to Jack and suddenly Arachra's brother and some of his men beat the crap out of Jack and told him that he wasn't welcome at their beach community anymore and that he had to leave. He was on an outsider. Back in the present, Jack and Alex rushed into Ben's room where he was getting his wound treated. Jack told him what was happening to Juliet and Ben got worried! He had no idea. But he was fearful with what Jack asked, because he would probably do something again. But Jack said that if he saved Juliet's life, he would stay with them until Ben got healthy. They needed a surgeon. And Ben said they used to have a great one and his name was ETHAN! Ben finally agreed and had Alex get him a piece of paper to write a pardon. Jack and Alex then went to the meeting, where Juliet was on trial, and gave Tom the paper. He and Isabelle agreed, but Ben put another punishment on there! Juliet had to be branded! Later, a very tired looking Juliet walked back to where Jack was in the cage. She made him dinner and thanked him for saving her life. However, Jack asked her to show him the mark. Juliet didn't want to, but turned around. A very scary looking brand was on her back. Jack then told her to get an aloe branch. She was confused, but did as he asked. Jack then rubbed the aloe leaf on her back to take the stinging away from the burn. Juliet then told him that they all had to leave and go home. Jack didn't understand, but Juliet told him that his people would be there soon to take him back and they know where the Hydra station is now. Jack nodded and later, Tom moved Jack to where the rest of "the Others" were planning on leaving. A boat was on the shore and a ferry was waiting for them to take them all back. Isabelle then said something to Jack in Chinese. He looked at her confused, but she translated "Though he walks among us, he is not one of us." That's what Jack's tattoos say! But Jack replied, "That's what they say, but it's not what they mean." Jack helped them load Ben and everyone else onto the ferry. Meanwhile, Kate realized Karl was gone and asked Sawyer what happened. Sawyer said it was his idea, and Kate got angry again when Sawyer told her to leave with him to go home. She hated him bossing her around and yelled at him. Sawyer then said, "I know you feel guilty." Kate replied, "We had to leave Jack behind!! We need to go back.." Sawyer than gave Kate a look and said, "I wasn't talking about Jack. I was talking about you and me. I know you did it because you thought I was a dead man." Kate eyes widened, because Sawyer could see right through her. He knew her true feelings she had for Jack. That night Jack joined Juliet at the front of the ferry waiting to get back to "Othersville", Karl and Alex looked at their star, and Kate and Sawyer made their way back home.

Episode 3.10 "Tricia Tanaka is Dead"
A Hurley Episode

Hurley was at Libby's grave and was telling her what has been going on with him lately. He then found Charlie at the beach shaving. Hurley asked Charlie why he was always acting so down lately, and Charlie finally told him about Desmond's prophecy. Instead of telling Charlie he was wrong, Hurley actually believed it! And said it was probably his fault. But suddenly, they were interrupted when Vincent ran out of the jungle with a skeleton arm holding a CAR KEY! Hurley then left Charlie to follow Vincent in the jungle. And what Hurley found was a CAR! And inside was a skeleton of a Dharma worker named Roger. Back at the beach, Nikki and Paulo, as well as Sun and Jin were having couples fights. Sun told Jin that she was only going to talk to him in English now and he would have to do the same. Jin rolled his eyes, but did try. Suddenly, Hurley ran up to all of them and told them he found a car. All of them looked at him like he was crazy and wouldn't help. But, Hurley just wanted everyone to have fun again. However, Jin, not knowing what he said, decided to help him. Meanwhile, Kate and Sawyer were in the jungle walking back towards the beach. Kate asked him what they should tell everyone about Jack not coming with them. She didn't want everyone to panic. Sawyer really didn't care, but suddenly he stepped on a dart! She went back to help him out and said all he had to do was say sorry. Sawyer looked at her confused, but Kate said that he could get a clean slate. Sawyer laughed it off saying it was like Laura on "Little House". Kate then laughed hysterically when she learned that's what Sawyer called the show and that he watched it. However, Sawyer said he wasn't sorry for anything. Kate then seemed hurt and went back to calling him Sawyer, and he went back to calling her just Kate, instead of Freckles. Then, the two of them made their way to the beach camp! Everyone was stunned! They all went out to hug each other. Sun, Claire, and Nikki ran over to hug Kate. While, Locke went and congratulated Sawyer on coming back. However, the group did realize that Jack was still gone. Meanwhile, Jin and Hurley were out looking at the car. They looked in the back and saw the car was full of beer. They then decided to pull Roger's body out and turn the car back over. Except, Roger's head fell off. Back at the beach, Charlie went back up to Desmond and was going to ask him more about his prophecy, when Sawyer ran up asking what happened to his stuff. Charlie and Desmond said they were sorry and that it they, along with Hurley, took it. Sawyer then got so mad! He then went into the jungle to find Hurley and Jin working on turning that car. Sawyer tried to confront him, but once Hurley saw Sawyer he ran up to him and gave him a huge hug! Sawyer was happy to see him too and also gave Jin a hug. Hurley then asked who all came back, but Sawyer sadly said it was only Kate. However, Hurley said, "That's ok. I have hope Jack will come back." Sawyer was shocked, but then noticed the car. Hurley asked for his help, and Sawyer said no. But once he heard there was beer, Sawyer changed his mind. Back at the beach, Kate, cleaned up now, was all packing up and telling Locke and Sayid what happened to them all there. She said that Jack promised her to stay away, but she was going to break it and bring him home! She also told Sayid and Locke what Karl said about "the Others" living on their island. So, she was going to get the one person who could help them out. Back in the jungle, the boys and Vincent finally got the car turned over. It was a VW Bus! They looked through it and found tons of papers and Sawyer found a map that showed dirt roads on the island. And then he found Roger's head! As usual, Sawyer took the beer and started to drink it, while Hurley and Jin looked at the engine. Jin then decided it wasn't going to work. However, Hurley wouldn't believe them and tried to start it, but it still didn't work. So, Hurley went off and started praying about it, while Sawyer and Jin drank more beer. And Sawyer started teaching Jin English phrases. Then Hurley left and found Charlie again at the beach being moody. When Charlie wouldn't listen to him, Hurley slapped him! And told him to "SNAP OUT OF IT!" He then gave Charlie a pep talk and told him that they were going to prove Desmond wrong. Hurley finally got through to Charlie and he went along with them. They reteamed back up with Sawyer and Jin and said they were going to push the car so it would get started. The 4 of them, and Vincent did and they reached a cliff. Hurley said that he wanted them to push it down, but Sawyer and Jin both said no. It was crazy. But Hurley said to do it. And Charlie said he would ride shotgun. So, the 2 of them climbed in and Sawyer and Jin pushed the van. In flashbacks, we got to see Hurley as a child. And he was skinny and loved hanging out with his dad David. However, one day his dad had to leave and Hurley didn't understand why. But David said he would be back. 17 years later, Hurley had won the lottery. He decided to own the Chicken Shack he worked at and was being interview by Tricia Tanaka, one of LA's top journalists. But Hurley really wasn't in the mood to be interviewed and kept mentioning the bad things that had happened to him. Tricia got mad and decided to have her camera guy film her inside the restaurant. So, Hurley talked to his former boss Randy when suddenly a loud noise was heard! A MEATOR hit the Chicken Shack! It killed Tricia, and Hurley went home and told his mom Carmen all about it. But she kept telling him there was no curse and she could prove it. Hurley didn't understand, but she walked him into the living room where David was back! Hurley however figured it was because of the money and didn't want anything to do with his dad. But David tried to spend more time with his son and even tried to get him to have hope again. He even took Hurley to a psychic, but she ended up being paid off by David to say certain things to Hurley. Later, Hurley ended up showing his dad that he still kept his car. David was shocked and told Hurley that he was sorry he left. He wanted to make things right again with him and his mother. He had really changed. However, Hurley didn't believe him and went to Australia, leaving his mom and dad behind. Back in the present, Hurley and Charlie got ready as Jin and Sawyer gave the final push! The car went flying down the cliff really fast and Hurley kept saying that he had hope. Charlie got freaked and readied himself for them crashing into the rocks! But suddenly the car STARTED and played "Shambala" by 3 Dog Night! Hurley was able to take the wheel and turn it out of the way! They didn't die! Sawyer and Jin were shocked and ran down the hill to find their friends! They, as well as Vincent jumped in the van and Hurley started driving them around in circles with them all screaming! After their fun, the guys headed back home. Jin gave Sun a flower he found for her. Charlie went and told Claire all of what happened and she started laughing hysterically. And Hurley kept driving around filled with so much hope. Sawyer tried to find Kate, but then realized she was gone. So, he took his beer and sat by the ocean back to his old self. That night, Kate was walking in the jungle and found a net. Suddenly, she heard movement. It was Sayid and Locke. She asked why they were coming. Locke said he had a new motivation to go. And Sayid explained that Locke saw the direction to go from Eko's Jesus stick. Kate then welcomed them to come with her, when gunshots went off! Sayid and Locke aimed, but Kate told them to stop. She yelled out that it was ok. Then, Danielle appeared. She asked what Kate wanted, and Kate replied that they needed her help to find "the Others". She explained to Danielle that she was captured and while there met a 16-year-old girl named Alex and she thinks it's her daughter. Danielle was stunned and agreed to go.

Episode 3.11 "Enter 77"
A Sayid Episode

Sawyer was walking around the beach looking for Kate. Then he noticed a lot of the castaways moving things and what seemed to be part of a table. Hurley came by he knew that Kate wasn't back. Sawyer nodded, and Hurley said not to worry and shrugged it off. Sawyer then asked what was going on, and Hurley told him that after the hatch imploded, they found a ping-pong table and were going to set it up to have something to play. All the needed was a ball. Then Sawyer spotted Paulo with some of his things and this got him angry and he took off. Meanwhile, in the jungle, Sayid, Kate, Locke, and Danielle were all making their way towards the north part of the island. Sayid and Locke started arguing about which way to go, and Sayid took off on his own. As he was walking in the jungle, Sayid heard a BELL! So he investigated it and found a COW! He was shocked seeing a cow there and heard someone whistle for it. Sayid hid, but followed the noise and found Patchy and he was at a RANCH that had a satellite dish! Back at the beach, Sun, Jin, Hurley, Charlie, Nikki, and Paulo were all setting up the ping-pong table when Sawyer walked back up to them. He had found a ball. However, he had a plan. Sawyer told them that he wanted to play to get all of his things back. Everyone agreed, but Hurley said that if they won, he had to give up something as well. Sawyer couldn't think of anything, so Sun finally did! She told him that he had to not use nicknames for a WEEK! And he agreed. At the ranch, Sayid showed the rest what he found and explained to Kate that they saw Patchy at The Pearl station. They then decided on a plan for what to do next and get in there. However, Danielle decided that she didn't have a purpose going in there, and would wait for them to come, if they made it out. Sayid then walked up to the ranch with no guns and arms up. He passed a saddled horse and a cat that kept staring at him weirdly. Suddenly, Patchy appeared with a gun aimed at Sayid through the window! Sayid told him that he was unarmed and not one of "the Others". But Patchy didn't believe him and shot Sayid in the arm! Kate and Locke ran with their guns drawn and told Patchy to stop, telling him they were survivors of a plane crash. But he wouldn't listen, so Locke fired to scare him and drop his gun. He did and Locke held him back while Kate went over to Sayid. They asked who Patchy was and he said with a Russian accent that his name was Mikhail and he was "the last surviving member of the Dharma Inative"! They all went back inside the ranch, and Mikhail actually went to treat Sayid's would and stitch it back up. Mikhail said he used to serve in the Russian Army and served in Afghanistan, loosing his eye. He then signed up to work with Dharma by answering an AD IN THE NEWSPAPER! Sayid asked what it said, and Mikhail said it was "to SAVE THE WORLD"! Locke went off to investigate the house, as Kate looked around as well. She found Dharma food, papers wrote in Russian, frozen meat, and all types of cooking devices. Locke then found a computer room, which had a chess game on it! It asked if he wanted to play. Locke hit yes and the game came up on screen. Kate then sat back down with Sayid as they asked Mikhail more questions. This was "The Flame" station and it was used for communication with the other hatches and the OUTSIDE WORLD! It also had cables around the island with sonar detection. Sayid asked if that was the cable he found on the beach and Mikhail said yes. Then Mikhail said after the violet light, they can't access the outside anymore. Sayid asked what happened with "the Hostiles” and Mikhail said it was The Purge! "The Hostiles" took over the Dharma Inative because they were on the island FIRST! After most of the people had been killed, they decided to let Mikhail stay and take care of the animals, but he could never cross the line, which was place to divide the island. Suddenly, that cat came in and Mikhail said something to her in Russian. The cat's name was NADIA! Sayid was stunned hearing the name and asked why she was named that. Mikhail said it was after the Russian gymnast, who's poster was also on the wall. Meanwhile, Locke was still in the other room playing chess and Mikhail went to check on him. He told Locke that the game cheats and you never win. But Locke didn't believe him; he said a computer couldn’t beat a human being. At the same time, Sayid told Kate that Mikhail was NOT a Dharma member. He was lying and he was ONE OF "THE OTHERS"! She was completely shocked. Back at the beach, Sawyer asked who was going to play him. Hurley stepped forward and told him to watch out because he had been playing his whole life! Sawyer wasn't worried, and Hurley asked for the mercy rule. He didn't know what he meant, but Hurley explained that whoever beat each other by 11 or more would automatically win. Sawyer agreed and they started, with Hurley scoring the first try! At the ranch, Kate and Sayid played along being nice and friendly while drinking tea with Mikhail. As they were talking, Sayid said they knew the truth and that he was one of the “Others”! Mikhail got up to reach for his gun, but Sayid and Kate went to fight him! He knocked Kate down and Sayid went after him! They both threw punches and Mikhail fell to the ground as well! But Kate was able to get Mikhail’s gun and point it at him before he could move! Locke walked out and saw what happened and Sayid told him to get some rope! After he was tied, Sayid said he wasn't alone because the horse was saddled for a woman. He then lifted the rug to show Kate and Locke a TRAP DOOR! In flashbacks, Sayid was in Paris working at a restaurant. He had changed his name to Negev and trying to start a new life. An older Arab man came, named Sami, to Sayid and asked if he would want to work at his restaurant. Sayid agreed and when he went to meet Sami a woman looked at him and told Sami it was "the one!" Sayid then was beat and locked in a back room in chains! Sami told him that his wife knew he was a torturer in Iraq and that he could have to confess to it. However, Sayid said he didn't know Amira at all. But Sami beat Sayid. Sami then tried to get Sayid to confess while Amira was present, but he still said he didn't know her. She then came one day with her cat and told Sayid how the cat was tortured just like her by children. She wanted Sayid to confess for what he did to her. Sayid finally broke down and told her the truth and that he was so sorry. She haunted him so much because he had hurt a woman. Amira stunned Sayid by forgiving him and told him that people could change. She was going to let him go and start his new life. Sayid was shocked and thanked her. Back in the present, Sayid and Kate went underneath to see what was down there. And they found it rigged with EXPLOSIVES! Sayid also found books about Dharma that said FOOD DROP PROTOCAL and OPERATIONS MANUAL! Meanwhile, Locke started to play the chess game again and he WON! He was happy at beating it, when suddenly Dr. Marvin Candle appeared on the monitor! He told Locke to enter numbers to access different parts of the island. So, Locke entered 38 to have access to the outside world. However, Candle said the operations were down. He then asked if Locke wanted to see the sonar, but it too ended up being down. Then Candle said if The Flame had been taken by "the Hostiles", he would have to enter 77. Locke tried to, but suddenly Mikhail came up from behind and held a knife at his throat telling him not too! Downstairs, Kate found all of these Dharma overalls but suddenly someone hit her! She started to fight back and Sayid came and pointed a gun at the person. It ended up being Bea/Miss. Klugh! Kate then suddenly started throwing punches and beat her asked "WHERE IS JACK?" Sayid actually had to hold Kate back so she wouldn't kill her. Sayid and Kate walked Bea out at gunpoint, but Locke couldn't be found. So they all walked outside and saw that Mikhail had Locke at gunpoint as well! Mikhail said they would have to do a trade, but Sayid didn't want that and Locke said he wouldn't be killed. But suddenly, Bea started saying something in Russian to Mikhail and no one could understand what he or she was saying. Then Mikhail aimed his gun and shot BEA AND KILLED HER! They started fighting again, and Sayid was able to pin Mikhail to the ground again but he wouldn't kill him. Back at the beach, Hurley walked up to Sawyer and asked how it felt to loose. Sawyer was mad, but Hurley still gave him some of his stuff back. Then he told Sawyer not to worry about Kate. She'll be completely fine with Sayid and Locke. Sawyer nodded but found it hard to talk since he couldn't say any nicknames. That night, Locke was back at the computer and punched in 77 when asked. Sayid then walked Mikhail out in the jungle and found Danielle. She asked if he was one of them, and Sayid nodded. Danielle was going to shoot, but Sayid said they needed him to get to "the Others". Sayid then asked if anything he said was true. Mikhail then said The Pruge was real and that they took back their island! However, Sayid also found a MAP! And on it, it showed a place marked BARRACKS that had houses! Mikhail then asked for them to kill him, but Sayid said no. He wasn't going to kill anyone. Kate and Locke rejoined them and as they were leaving, the ranch BLEW UP! Sayid asked why Locke did that, and he said the computer told him to push 77 if "the Hostiles" came. Sayid was angry because that could have been their only way to get home. So, the group picked up their things and headed off to find "Othersville" and get Jack and Alex back! But as they were walking Sayid heard something and shone his flashlight. It was Nadia the cat and it looked up to him politely letting Sayid go on his way.

Episode 3.12 "Par Avion"
A Claire Episode

Claire woke up on the beach. Charlie had made breakfast for her and explained that he wanted to make it a special day and start to live life to the fullest. He then told her that he had a picnic for her at the beach and wanted to know if she would come. Claire agreed and they let Sun and Jin watch Aaron. Meanwhile in the jungle, Locke and Sayid started arguing about what to do next, while Kate kept looking at Mikhail. She didn't know if they could trust him, but Mikhail replied that they were going in the right direction. Back on the beach, Charlie took Claire to their picnic, but Desmond interrupted them! He asked Charlie if he wanted to go boar hunting with him, and Charlie got panicked. Meanwhile, something caught Claire's attention! It was a flock of birds! She got really excited saying that she "knew a way to get rescued" and ran off, leaving Charlie stunned, but Desmond knew! Claire then rushed over to Sun, Jin, and Sawyer and explained to them her idea to catch the birds and send a message. The birds were tagged and scientists would see it. Sawyer almost called her Barbie, but Sun corrected him and he had to call her Claire because of the bet. Sun and Jin really liked the idea and they agreed to help. However, Charlie didn't like the idea and told her to stop. But Claire got really angry and didn't understand what caused this sudden turnaround. Then she started to suspect Desmond and Charlie were up to something. Back in the jungle, Kate was getting some water when Danielle stopped beside her. Kate asked her why she hadn't been asking about Alex. Danielle then asked if Kate cared a great deal for Jack! Kate said yes and really meant it! Danielle then told her to think if she never saw Jack again for 16 years and he didn't remember a thing about her. Would he know how much she really cared? Kate nodded and her motivation grew stronger. The girls then met up with the guys, and an argument broke out. Mikhail said that the man in charge was magnificent. Kate laughed thinking he meant Ben. However, Mikhail said Ben's is not HIM! They were shocked and Sayid said he didn't know anything about them. However, Mikhail suddenly said, "Oh course I don't know you SAYID JARRAH, as well as you KATE AUSTIN, but you JOHN LOCKE I REMEMBER!!! But the John Locke I knew was "PARA"!!! But Danielle cut him off before he could finish saying they were here. They found a clearing and there were these massive pylons everywhere! Back on the beach, Jin set up the net while Sun got some bait. Claire went to help Sun and they talked about their moms. Sun said that this was her mom's worst fear. That she would be poor. Claire then nodded and said that her mom was a librarian and wanted Claire to be anything she wanted. Sun then heard the past tense and Claire just nodded. Claire, Sun, and Jin waited and a flock of seagulls came. They were getting ready to trap them, when gunshots went off! Claire got angry when she saw Desmond with a gun! She chased him and asked what he was doing. Desmond said he found a boar and was shooting at it. However, Claire didn't believe him and said that he and Charlie did that on purpose. At the pylons, the group tried to figure a way around them, but according to the map, they were in a circle around the whole barracks! Kate and Sayid tried to figure a way to cross it, when suddenly Locke pushed Mikhail through it! A loud sonic boom went off and Mikhail said "Thank You"! Then the fence KILLED him! They group had no way to get through the fence! Sayid and Kate got so mad at Locke for doing that. But Locke said it had to be done to see if Mikhail was right. Then Sayid found an explosive in Locke's bag! The rest were shocked and had no idea what was going on with him. Locke then suggested a way to get to "Othersville". They would go OVER the fence! Back at the beach, Claire ran angrily towards Charlie. She demanded to know what was going on with him and Desmond. Charlie wouldn't say and Claire told him to get out! She didn't want liars around Aaron! She could make it on her own and didn't need his help. Charlie was shocked by how angry she was, but didn't say anything. In flashbacks, we finally learned who Claire's parents are! When she was 17, in a Goth phase, Claire and her mother Carol were in a really bad car accident. Claire was driving and didn't see the truck coming towards them. Carol was ejected from the car and hurt really badly. At the hospital, Claire had minor injuries and a police officer interviewed her. He said they had to get certain information when there was a fatality. However, Claire's mom was still in surgery and it freaked her out with what he said. The officer then asked about her father and Claire said that he had died when she was little. The next day Claire visited her mom, who was on a ventilator and her AUNT LINDSEY was there! She asked Claire if she was all right and Claire nodded. Claire and Carol lived with Lindsey. The doctor then came in and told Claire and Lindsey that it didn't look good for Carol, but they would keep her on the ventilator. They didn't know how to pay for it, but the doctor said it was already taken care of. A few days later, Claire went to see her mom, when the nurse told her that she liked the new American doctor they hired! Claire was confused and didn't understand what she meant. She got to Carol's room to see a man standing by her bed. Claire asked whom he was, and CHRISTIAN SHEPHARD (Jack's dad) turned around and smiled! Claire was confused and didn't understand why he was there and Lindsey walked in. She got very angry and started yelling with Christian saying that he shouldn't have come. It wasn't his concern. But Christian yelled back saying it was very much his concern. Claire was so confused and asked what was going on. Christian said Claire needed to know the truth, so he faced her and said, "I'm your FATHER!" Claire was totally shocked! The next day, Claire was working at a tattoo/piercing parlor when Christian walked in. He wanted to talk with her. Claire was cautious, but agreed. They two of them went to get coffee and Christian explained to her what happened. He said that Carol was living in LA when they met and had their affair. Carol decided to keep Claire and Christian helped her move back to Australia to live with Lindsey. Claire asked why he didn't have anything to do with her, but he told her that he did. For the first few years of her life, he came out to Australia every few weeks to spend time with her. He would stay over with Carol, give toys and play with her, and sing her songs! But Christian told Claire, he had another FAMILY and he didn't want them finding out about her, so he left. But that didn't mean he didn't love her. Claire was so confused, but Christian had another thing to ask of her. He wanted her to take Carol off life support. Claire said no because in Australia it's illegal. Christian tried to explain that was what Carol would have wanted, but Claire got angry. She told Christian to leave and go back to his real family! Years later and a few weeks before the plane crash, a very pregnant Claire went to see Carol. She was still on the ventilator and Claire turned the TV on to watch nature shows about birds. She then told her mom that she was pregnant and planned on giving the baby up for adoption. But before she left, she told her mom she was sorry for yelling at her that day and didn't mean any of it. She loved her and would see her soon. Back on the island, Kate, Locke, Sayid, and Danielle made a lever to lift them all up and get them over the fence. One by one, they all climbed and made it over, and made their way to "Othersville"! At the beach, Sun and Claire heard Charlie and Desmond arguing. So Claire decided to check out what was really going on! She followed Desmond to a rocky part of the beach and he was looking for something. She tried to ask, but he told her to be quiet. He then grabbed one of the birds and gave it to Claire! Claire asked why he did this for her and he said, "Charlie would have hit the rocks and died!" Claire was shocked! She then met Charlie who was sitting with Aaron, and held the bird in her hands. Charlie was happy that she got one and Claire told him that Desmond told her everything about his visions. She told Charlie that it would be ok. Claire then wrote a beautiful note and Charlie helped her fasten it to the bird. When it was just right they let the bird go. Then Claire took Charlie's hand and told him they would get through all of this together! Meanwhile, Kate, Sayid, Locke, and Danielle made it to "Othersville"! They saw a bunch of houses, people walking, and a guy on a bike and were stunned! Suddenly, Kate saw Jack running towards her and she tried to call to him, but Sayid and Locke held her back. Jack turned around and caught a FOOTBALL! He was throwing passes with TOM! Jack then caught another one and threw the ball like he scored a touch down! Everyone was shocked!

Episode 3.13 "The Man from Tallassee"
A Locke Episode

Locke, Kate, Sayid, and Danielle were still watching Jack playing football with "the Others". Juliet then walked out of one of the houses and caught the football. She talked to Jack about something and he followed her. Kate had no idea what was going on and Locke got out the binoculars to take a closer look. Sayid went to ask Danielle for help, but she was GONE! The 3 watched Jack and Juliet meet Ben, who is now in a wheelchair. Jack shook hands with Ben and smiled! They all were stunned and Locke tried to figure out a way to get to Jack since it looked like it was going to be harder. The 3 of them then loaded their guns and got ready to go. They saw Jack go into one of the houses and Locke came up with a plan. He said for Kate to go in alone since she's the only one who can get through to Jack. Kate did and Sayid went to keep watch at the back of the house. Kate reached the side door and walked in. She went down the hallway and heard beautiful piano music. When she reached the room, she saw Jack playing the piano. Kate got memorized and watched him finish the song. When Jack finished, he turned around and saw Kate there! He was stunned and all she could say was "Hi"! But Jack asked her what she was doing there and she looked hurt. He then told her that there were cameras watching him, when suddenly two men entered carrying Sayid and they grabbed Kate! Jack screamed for them not to hurt her, but they handcuffed her and pointed at gun! They demanded to know who else came with them. Kate looked to Jack for help, but he told her to answer them. Kate then replied that it was only she and Sayid. Meanwhile, Ben woke up in his room hearing noises. He thought it was Alex, so he turned on the lights. However, it was Locke and he was pointing a gun at him! Ben then said that he would tell him where Jack was, but that's not what Locke wanted! He wanted to know where the submarine was! Suddenly, Alex came into the room wondering what was going on with her dad, when Locke grabbed her! They heard more people coming, so Locke took Alex and they hid in the closet. Locke watched as 2 men came in to talk with Ben. They said that Austen and Jarrah had gotten there and they wanted to know what to do with them. Ben said to keep them for a while. Then the guys asked if this would delay Shephard and Juliet! Ben said no and that it should go like normal. But he told them to get the man from Tallassee. The men left and Locke came back out with Alex. He then told Ben that he needed something from Sayid's pack and that Alex would have to get it for him. Ben told him no, but Alex agreed to it. She then left the 2 of them alone. Ben then asked Locke for his help since he couldn't get out of the bed. Locke then agreed to help, knowing that the surgery did this to him. Ben then told him that Locke amazed him. He KNEW that Locke was paralyzed 4 years before the crash and he had all these anger issues with his father! He didn't understand why the island healed Locke, but it wasn't healing him! Locke was stunned that Ben knew all of this about him! Kate, meanwhile, was in some sort of rec room and she moved her handcuffed hands so they would be in front of her. Suddenly, the door opened and Tom appeared. He told Kate that he didn't expect her to see so soon. Then he motioned for someone to come in. It was Jack! Tom left them alone, and Jack got a chair and sat down. He asked Kate why she came back when he told her not too. Kate said that she wasn't going to leave him behind. She didn't understand why he was acting this way and she asked what they did to him. Jack said "the Others" didn't hurt him. When she asked about the kids, Jack said they were safe and “the Others” aren’t as bad as they first thought. Kate then got up and walked over toward him. She took a hold of his hands and Jack clung to them. Kate asked again if they hurt him, and Jack wouldn't look at her but said no. He did tell her that they made a deal with him. They told him that he could go home, or to the US, if he cooperated. Kate was stunned, but started to understand what he meant. Jack told her that he didn't want to leave them behind, but he would try to come back. Kate then asked why he believes "the Others" would allow this, and Jack looked straight into her eyes and said, "Because you told me." Kate couldn't believe that he remembered and smiled. Jack did too and was the 2 stared into each other’s eyes. But as they slightly leaned in, Juliet interrupted them! Juliet told him that it was almost time to go and closed the door. Kate turned away and started balling. Jack then told her "I told you not to come here and I wish, WISHED you hadn't". He then got up from the chair and hugged Kate from behind, whispering in her ear "But I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU!" As he left he paused at the door to take a deep breathe, leaving Kate behind as she cried more. In flashbacks, Locke was on disability leave from his anger issues. He ended up staying at home a lot and one day a young man named Peter Talbot came and wanted information from him. Peter's mother was going to marry a man named Adam, but it was listed that Locke gave him one of his KIDNEYS! Peter showed Locke the picture and it was his DAD Anthony! Peter asked Locke if he would help him, but Locke wanted nothing to do with Anthony anymore. However, Locke did track his father down and told him not to con that woman or her son for there money. But, Anthony told John that he had changed. He loved her and this wasn't a con. A few days later, 2 police detectives found Locke and asked him some questions about Peter! He didn't understand what was going on, but they told him that Peter was MURDERED! Locke then tracked down Anthony again and told him that he knew he killed Peter. Anthony said that was a lie and told John to call about where he was. Locke reached for the phone, but Anthony pushed him! And LOCKE FELL OUT OF A WINDOWN 8 STORIES UP! That's how he became in the wheelchair! A few months later, John survived but was paralyzed from the waist down. And no one could find Anthony. Locke hated having to use the wheelchair, but was forced too. Back on the island, Ben asked Locke how it felt when he was paralyzed. Locke then said that he actually felt his back break. Ben nodded understanding and they headed downstairs. Outside, Alex found Sayid chained to a swing set! She told the guy Ryan that her father wanted Sayid's bag. Ryan let her get it, but as Alex left, Sayid called out to her. He said that she looked exactly like HER MOTHER! Alex was shocked and told him that her mother died. Back in the house, Ben let Locke eat some food and he explained that he knew Locke wanted to blow the sub up. That's how they found Mikhail and "The Flame". However, Ben said that once the sub leaves no one could find it since their communications were destroyed. Ben also said that the rest of "the Others" would be trapped here and they wanted to go home since they were recruited. Ben was one of the few that actually lived there his whole life. They needed that hope that they could leave. However, Locke didn't really care. So, Ben asked if there was a box that could show him anything he wanted to see would he want it. Locke turned towards him curiously, but Alex then came back in with Sayid's pack. Ben offered to show Locke the sub, but Locke told him that Alex would. Locke and Alex left and she led him to a dock where the sub was. Locke left, but Alex stayed behind a little. And as she stood there, Danielle watched her crying from the bushes! Locke then explored the sub. Meanwhile, Jack and Juliet went to thank Ben for letting them go. Jack then had Ben promise him that he wouldn't hurt his friends. Ben then asked if they did, Jack wouldn't go. He nodded and Ben agreed to let Kate and Sayid go home. Juliet then thanked him and the 2 went on their way. Jack and Juliet got to the docks, but they saw Locke walking towards them all wet! Locke surrendered and went on his knees! But Jack knew something happened! He tried to ask what Locke did, but suddenly the sub BLEW UP! Jack was angry with Locke and their feud was ignited again. Juliet was shocked because she couldn’t go home. Locke was then chained to drainage pipes, when Ben walked back in with that guy who recruited Juliet. They took the handcuffs off and Ben talked to Locke. He told him he tried to think of a way to get Jack to stay, but know there might be someone else who could stay with them and blow up the sub. He then said "Remember what I told you about the box? Come with me." Locke followed Ben and the man down a corridor and Ben said to open the door to see what was inside. They did and Locke looked it! What he saw shocked him! HIS FATHER WAS TIED TO A CHAIR AND BEATEN!

Nikki was running in the jungle! She dropped down and started to burry something. A flashback happened, and Nikki was a stripper! While she was dancing, she saw a man enter one of the back rooms. Nikki followed him, and she met someone named Mr. LaShade. She saw him meeting another guy, and she took him out. Then she realized that Mr. LaShade was "The Cobra" and he SHOT her! Nikki fell to the ground, while Mr. LaShade told two girls that he had to kill Nikki cause she was working with "The Cobra". Then suddenly a man appeared and yelled CUT! It was a TV SHOW! Nikki is an actress! After wrapping up the “Expose” season finale, Nikki went to hug Billy Dee Williams who played Mr. LaShade. Then she met up with the director, Howard Zuckerman, and he told her she did a really great job. Then they kissed. Nikki was filming the show in Sydney. Back on the island, Sawyer and Hurley were playing ping-pong, when Nikki ran out of the jungle! She seemed sick and suddenly passed out, but said something that started with a P. Sawyer went to go get help, but Hurley told him to stop. Nikki DIED! And Sawyer still had no idea who Nikki was. 84 days earlier, Nikki and Howard were eating together at his house. Howard went to have the cook come out, and it was PAULO! He told Nikki that Paulo was a chef and from Brazil. After Paulo went back into the kitchen, Howard had Nikki look into the rolls while he ate. Nikki was hesitant, but did and found a really expensive bracelet. She thanked Howard, but suddenly he started choking! She called out to Paulo and he came and waited. Howard DIED! Then Nikki said, "Next time, don't try to let me eat the same food!" Nikki and Paulo killed him! They went into a closet and got into the safe from a key Howard wore around his neck. Inside the safe was one of those close lapsable dolls and when they opened it up, they smiled slyly and Nikki said "Razzle Dazzle". Back on the island, Sawyer, Hurley, Sun, Jin, and Charlie tried to figure out what happened to Nikki. She had no cuts, wounds, or anything visible. They had no idea what could have killed her. Hurley said it sounded like she said "Paulo lies". Charlie did notice that she had dirt under her fingernails. Sawyer said that maybe they were poisoned. Sun suggested that they find Paulo and tell him what happened. 80 days earlier, Nikki and Paulo were at the airport drinking champagne and reading Howard news story. They were both excited to start their new lives together with all the money. Paulo then told her that he quit smoking and was going to be chewing the gum. Nikki was happy for him. Suddenly, 2 people started yelling trying to find somewhere to sit. It was SHANNON AND BOONE! Boone asked if they could sit there and Paulo agree, but Shannon said no. And forced Boone to leave with her. Nikki than said "Promise me we don't end up like them." Later that day after the plane crash, Nikki was shocked out of her mind. She looked everywhere for Paulo, seeing Jack and Claire together, Shannon screaming, the guy being sucked into the turbine, Jin finding Sun, Michael looking for Walt, and Boone asking for pens. Nikki was the one who found Dr. Arzt! But she left him, and found Paulo staring at the ocean. Nikki hugged him, than asked if he had the bag. Paulo then shook his head no. Back on the island, Hurley, Sawyer, and Jin went into the jungle and found Paulo DEAD as well! His shoe was thrown and his pants were undone. Sawyer took the water from Jin and poured it out saying it could be poisoned. Hurley, however, started to believe it was "the Monster", since when Eko died his last words were "You're next" while Nikki and Paulo were there. 75 days earlier, Nikki and Paulo were talking about "the Monster". Paulo thought it was a dinosaur and Nikki replied, "This isn't Jurassic Park"! They still hadn't found the bag, when suddenly ETHAN came up to them and asked if they needed any clothes. They replied no, but asked if there was any luggage around. Ethan told them that there could be stuff inland in the jungle if they wanted to look. The 3 of them heard yelling, and Charlie saying Boone stole the water. They all went to see what was going on, and that’s when Jack appeared and gave his famous "Live Together, Die Alone" speech. Nikki, Paulo, and Dr. Arzt were all moved by it and decided to help out. In the present Sawyer and Hurley then moved Paulo's body and laid him next to Nikki's at the graves. Hurley was still convinced it was "the Monster", but Sawyer told him no. It couldn't have been. Something clicked in Hurley's mind and he started to suspect Sawyer might know more than he was letting on! 57 days earlier, Nikki went up to Dr. Arzt to ask him about getting luggage out of the jungle. He said it was possible that there was some out there. But he also had a huge collection of bugs! He showed Nikki the Medusa Spider. It can't kill anyone, but can leave a person paralyzed for 8 hours! Paulo saw the 2 of them together and got really jealous. A few days later, Nikki and Paulo walked in the jungle looking for their bag, when they found the NIGERIAN PLANE! Nikki suggested Paulo to climb up, but he said he wasn't going to get himself killed. Nikki's bag fell, and they heard metal! They found THE PERAL STATION FIRST! Nikki said she wasn't going down there, and stormed off. Back in the present, Sawyer, Hurley, and Charlie started to look through were Nikki and Paulo's things were. It was also by Arzt's bugs! Charlie then found the script for "Expose" and Hurley freaked out! Sawyer asked what it was and Hurley replied "Just the finest hour of television EVER"! Hurley explained it was a popular US television series about 2 strippers who work undercover with Mr. LaShade to find "The Cobra". Hurley read the last page and freaked when he saw Mr. LaShade was "The Cobra"! Then he noticed under guest stars it said Nikki Fernandez and that it was her acting break. Sawyer was bummed because he said it sounded like a cool show. Suddenly, Sawyer found a walkie-talkie! He then said Nikki and Paulo were working with "THE OTHERS"! 48 days earlier, Kate went up to Shannon, Nikki, Paulo, and Dr. Arzt and told them about the briefcase with the guns. Shannon than got really mad and said "So Kate goes off into the jungle with her 2 boyfriends to find guns!!!" Then she left angry. After Shannon and Arzt left, Nikki asked Kate where they found the case. Nikki and Paulo then went to the waterfalls to find it. She forced Paulo to go in the water and look. As he was down there, Paulo found the bag, but he told Nikki it wasn't down there and she left. When she was gone, Paulo dove back in to get the case! Back in the present, Sawyer, Charlie, and Sun went to dig the graves. However, Vincent kept trying to take the sheet off of the bodies. They let the dog leave, and went back to digging. Sun said that it couldn't have been "the Others" since she was attacked. Charlie and Sawyer exchanged looks, but didn't say anything. Hurley meanwhile went to talk to Desmond and if he saw anything, while Sawyer got out his gun from "the Others" and did a perimeter sweep. When Hurley found Desmond, he replied that he saw Sawyer and Nikki arguing! They both realized something happened and went to find Sawyer. About 20 days earlier, Paulo went back down into The Pearl! He went into the bathroom and hid the doll in the toilet tank. However, he heard someone coming so he hid behind the door and peeked out! JULIET AND BEN came in there from a TUNNEL and turned the monitoring TV's on. A picture of The Swan came up and Jack came on screen. Juliet asked if that was Jack and Ben nodded. She then said that Jack was cute! Juliet asked if Jack would do the surgery, and Ben said that he would use Jack's weaknesses to force him and have Michael bring them to him. The 2 left, and Paulo came out. He found the walkie-talkie there and took it with him. Back in the present, Sawyer walked back up to them and Hurley asked why he did it! Sawyer didn't understand, and Desmond said that he saw him talking to Nikki. Sawyer had a guilty look on his face but said he didn't kill them. Nikki asked him for a gun, but he wouldn't give one to her. That's why she was mad. But he did know that she wanted to bury something. And he tossed a black bag to Sun. Sun opened it and a bunch of DIAMONDS came out! Sawyer then left, as well as Hurley and Desmond. Charlie then started to feel guilty and confessed to Sun that "the Others" didn't take her. It was him, and that Sawyer thought up the plan to get even with Jack and Locke. Charlie apologized and said he was a different man back then. Sun didn't say anything, but left. 9 days earlier, when Nikki and Paulo were helping Locke, Sayid, and Desmond in The Pearl, Paulo went back into the bathroom to get the bag. He then flushed the toilet and came out of the room saying the plumbing still worked. Back in the present, Sun found Sawyer digging the graves alone. She then told him that she knew about them "kidnapping" her. Sawyer apologized and asked if she was going to tell Jin. But Sun said no. However, she PUNCHED him! Then she gave him the diamonds back saying they were worthless here. 12 hours earlier, Nikki was sitting alone on the beach when Paulo sat next to her. She said that Thanksgiving was 2 weeks ago and they were missing everything. However, Paulo said that being on the island brought them closer together and that they would be happy. After kissing her, Paulo left. However, Nikki saw his nicotine gum! She then got angry knowing he lied, and went to Sawyer asking for a gun. Sawyer told her no and she got angry. Nikki then took Paulo out in the jungle and pretended to be leading him somewhere. Then she told him she knew about him having the diamonds. Paulo told her he was sorry, but Nikki threw a bottle at him! A spider fell on him and bit him! He started to go down and Nikki told him it was the Medusa spider and that he would be paralyzed for 8 hours! Nikki then started looking for the diamonds, taking off his shoe and undoing his pants. When she found them, Paulo told her that he was getting rid of them so they could be happy and not worry about it. Nikki realized what he was doing for her and said she was sorry. However, the spider climbed on her leg and BIT HER! She started running and that's how she passed out in front of Sawyer and Hurley. In the present, Sawyer, Hurley, Charlie, Claire + Aaron, Sun, Jin, Desmond, and few other people gathered for their funeral, not knowing THEY WEREN'T DEAD! They placed Paulo and Nikki together in a grave and Hurley officiated the ceremony. Sawyer then undid the bag and sprinkled the diamonds over Nikki's body. Then Sawyer, Charlie, and Hurley put the sand back in the grave. However, Nikki's EYES SNAPPED OPEN, but it was too late. The 3 finished the grave and everyone left. THEY BURRIED NIKKI AND PAULO ALIVE!

Kate woke up in the rec room. She heard someone coming and grabbed a pool stick. When the door opened she hit the person. It was Juliet! However, Juliet caught Kate by the arm and flipped her on her back! Kate screamed and Juliet said all that she was trying to do was get her food and left. Later, Kate was alone again, when the door opened. It was Locke! He came up to Kate with a bandage on his hand and told her that he was leaving with "the Others"! Kate didn't understand, and Locke told her that he needed to go with them. He tried to plead a case for Kate, but "the Others" told him what Kate DID! He said that they don't forgive like he does. He wished Kate luck and started to leave. Kate asked him where Jack and Sayid were, and Locke said they would be leaving with her. He then left her alone again. Meanwhile, at the beach, Sawyer was reading when Hurley came up to him. He had his back turned to Sawyer and told him that he wasn't supposed to be talking to him. Sawyer asked what was going on, and Hurley replied that their was going to be a vote to BANISH Sawyer out of the camp! Sawyer was shocked, but Hurley said after Nikki and Paulo died, he couldn't be trusted. However, he could avoid it, if he made amends with everyone. But Sawyer replied that he doesn't do amends. Hurley left, and Sawyer started to worry what was going on. Back in "Othersville", Kate started to eat her sandwich, when she heard noises from outside. She looked out the window and saw "the Others" packing up and putting gas masks on! Suddenly, the door opened and a can was thrown in! Kate covered her mouth and tried to find a way out, but it was too late! She passed out! Kate then woke up in the jungle. She noticed that only one of her hands was handcuffed and she looked down and saw Juliet passed out next to her! Back at the beach, Sawyer was fishing and noticed Sun and Jin were as well. He smiled towards them and Jin nodded, but Sun looked coldly at him. Sawyer was hurt, and went back to getting the fish. He caught one and gutted it himself. He met up with Hurley, who was doing laundry and said he wanted to try making amends with everyone. He needed to stay at camp and didn't want to be banished. Hurley agreed and decided to help him. Back in the jungle, Juliet was still out, so Kate reached for her pocketknife. However, when Kate got it, Juliet grabbed her wrist. She asked what was going on, and Kate told her to confess. Juliet said she had no idea what was going on. Kate didn't believe her and went to try to get the handcuffs off. Juliet told her it wouldn't work, and Kate got angry. Juliet told her that the last thing she remembered was a gas can coming in and passing out. Kate still wouldn't trust her, and Juliet didn't understand why they would leave her out in the jungle. Kate then replied "Welcome to the wonderful world of never knowing what's going on!" Later that night, Kate and Juliet were walking in the jungle. Juliet predicted the rain as they were heading back towards "Othersville". They weren't talking but Juliet told her that if she was going back for him, Jack, she shouldn't waste her time. Kate got angry and PUNCHED Juliet! She started to fight back and the girls went at it. Kate pinned her from behind and pulled her arm so hard it DISLOCATED! Juliet screamed in pain, while Kate was asking if she was done! However, suddenly they heard "THE MONSTER"! Kate got scared and Juliet was freaking out screaming, "What is that?" The girls went running and they both hid in the trees! Juliet was asking what was going on, but Kate covered her mouth to be quite! "The Monster" came towards them and they waited quietly! However, "the Monster" found them and started flashing white lights at them, but more towards Juliet! It was reading them! Then it was gone. In flashbacks, Kate was back in Iowa and her car broke down. A tow truck driver named Johnny picked her up and she went back to the station. While there, Kate noticed a woman selling jewelry. A man wouldn't take anything from her, but Kate did. After the guy left, the woman asked Kate why she helped her, and she gave the money to her to keep. She understood what she was doing. The lady asked her if she wanted a ride and get some drinks, and Kate nodded. The woman was CASSIDY PHILLPS, Sawyer's ex-girlfriend. At the bar, Cassidy asked Kate, who was going by Lucy, what she was doing there in Iowa? Kate replied truthfully that she was a fugitive and was coming to see her mom. Cassidy asked what she did, and Kate told her that she killed her stepfather for beating up her mom. Cassidy understood completely and decided to help Kate meet her mom, telling Kate that her boyfriend had conned her and left with her money. The next day, it seemed that Kate went up to Diane's trailer and the Marshall came out and tried to arrest her! However, it was Cassidy in a wig and Kate's clothes. She pretended that she was selling Bibles, while Kate was watching from a car and saw her mom. A few hours later, Cassidy met back up with Kate at her hotel and asked why she wanted so bad to see her mom. Kate said that she had to know why her mother turned her in. It didn't make any sense to Kate. Cassidy agreed to help again and a few days later, she posed as a customer in Diane's restaurant. She accidentally spilled food on Diane, so she could go to the bathroom. While there, Diane cleaned up and looked in the mirror. Kate was behind her! Diane was shocked, but somewhat glad to see her little girl. Kate smiled with tears in her eyes and asked her mom how she was. However, Diane thought she was coming to say she was sorry for killing Wayne. Kate told her that it had to be done. He was bad and hurt her. Diane didn't understand and told her "You can't help who you love Katie." Kate started crying and didn't understand why her mom was so cold with her; she thought she had helped her. Diane told Kate that since she was still her daughter and she didn't want anything happening to her, she wasn't going to tell the cops there. Kate thanked her, but Diane said the next time she came again, Diane would yell for help. Cassidy then dropped Kate off when her car was fixed. Kate thanked her for her help and told her that her real name was Kate. She also asked Cassidy what her ex's name was. Cassidy wouldn't say, but did reveal that she was PREGNANT! Kate then told Cassidy to turn her ex (Sawyer) into the cops. Cassidy asked why, but Kate said he deserved it, and then she left, thanking her for helping. Back in the present, Sawyer started to make amends. Hurley said the first person he should start with was Claire! He said she was very influential on the vote and a big key to it. Be on her side and she fights for you! Hurley gave Sawyer a blanket and he went to talk to her. Claire was shocked and smiled at him talking to her. And when he spoke to Aaron, the baby cried! Sawyer than gave Claire the blanket and she thanked him for it. Sawyer felt better and Hurley gave him thumbs up. Back in the jungle, Kate and Juliet were still in the trees. "The Monster" was gone and Juliet needed her arm fixed. Kate asked her if she knew what it was, but Juliet replied no. She then explained to Kate that she was going to leave with Jack on the submarine, but them coming ruined their chances. Kate was still angry and said Ben would have stopped them anyway. However, Juliet said that they had cameras on ALL THE CAGES! Jack saw them, Kate and Sawyer. That's why he wanted to leave. Kate broke Jack’s heart. The news sunk in on Kate and she started tearing up. It all was making sense to her now. She was the reason Jack wanted to leave. She had messed it all up. She was with the wrong guy. Kate then fixed Juliet’s arm. The next day, Sawyer and Desmond were boar hunting. Desmond realized this was the first time either of them had talked. Sawyer helped and they were able to shoot the boar on the first try. Back in the jungle, Kate and Juliet woke up and decided to make their way back to get Jack and Sayid. As they were walking, Kate asked what Juliet really knew about Jack. Juliet replied she knew his age, weight, height, blood type, job, marriage, divorce, his parents’ names and jobs, and about his father's death. Kate was completely shocked, and Juliet asked what she knew. Kate was going to say his character and personality, but "the Monster" CAME BACK! The girls went running again, fell in the mud, and they saw the Sonic Fence! Kate told her not to go through, but Juliet said it was off! She then got the key out for the handcuffs and took them off of her and Kate! She had it all along! Juliet then yelled for Kate to cross over! Kate, even though angry, did and when both girls were over, Juliet put the code in to activate the fence! Juliet and Kate watched as "the Monster" tried to get pass the fence, but it BLOCKED it! "The Monster" screamed in pain and eventually went away! Kate asked Juliet what "the Monster" is, and Juliet replied, "We don't know, but the fence keeps it away." Kate was stunned. Back at the beach, Sawyer was roasting the pig and they all were having a barbeque! He walked over to Charlie and he was so excited about the food! Sawyer said that maybe it would stop the vote, and Charlie looked at him weird. Charlie said, "Since when do we vote?" Sawyer got angry and asked Hurley what was going on! Hurley said that he did that to finally have Sawyer be nice. He knew it was possible. Hurley said that they needed a temporary leader till Jack came back, and Sawyer was it. Sawyer didn't want to be and Hurley replied, "Jack didn't either. Sucks to be you!" But Sawyer realized that he did help everyone out. All of them were laughing and having a good time together. Sawyer walked up to Claire to give her food, and she let him hold Aaron, who finally smiled at him! But when he saw Sun, she still wouldn't look at him. Sawyer was still hurt by that. Finally, Kate and Juliet reached "Othersville", but it was deserted! Everyone was gone. Juliet said she would get Sayid, since Jack would probably want to see Kate. Kate agreed and went into the house Jack was in. He was STILL passed out in the hallway and Kate reached down towards him to gently wake him up. However, Jack violently sat up and Kate hit the back wall. Jack was confused and asked what happened. Kate told him that "the Others" were gone. They left them behind. Jack sat up and sat with Kate for a while. He asked where Juliet was, and Kate said that she was getting Sayid. Suddenly, Kate started balling and broke down telling Jack she was SORRY FOR EVERYTHING! It was all her fault! She made huge mistakes and now everything was screwed up. Jack pretended to be cold and distant, but in his eyes he was hurting himself seeing Kate cry like that. Kate then asked almost whispering, "What do we do now?" Jack took a deep breath and he said, "WE GO BACK." Kate nodded and helped Jack up because he was still weak. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and she held his waist as they walked out. They both then met Juliet and Sayid outside. Jack asked Juliet if she was all right, and she smiled giving Jack a backpack, making Kate jealous. Sayid walked over towards Jack and welcomed him back. Jack nodded and said they were ready to go. However, Sayid said Juliet wasn't coming. But Jack looked at him coldly and said, "Yes she IS". Sayid nodded but didn't say anything. Juliet started walking and Jack looked back towards Kate before walking ahead. Sayid and Kate exchanged worried glances, but followed, and the 4 of them started to make their way back home.

Episode 3.16 "One of Us"

Juliet, Jack, Kate, and Sayid were walking in the jungle. They were making their way back towards the beach camp. Sayid found a good place for them to stop, so Jack and Kate left to get some firewood. An awkward silence passed between Kate and Jack, as they were getting the branches. Kate then spoke up and asked Jack what had happened during his week with them. Jack replied that he made that deal to help Ben and they would let him go home. That's all that happened. Kate was ok with that, and Jack actually joked about going back and the 2 of them laughed again for the first time in a while. Meanwhile, Juliet was washing up and Sayid was staring at her. He asked who exactly she was, and Juliet replied if she told him, he would kill her. Sayid then replied, "What do you think I'll do if you don't?" However, Jack came back and told Sayid to stop. Juliet would tell when she was ready. She was under HIS protection! That stunned Sayid and Kate! Juliet though was grateful. At the beach, Charlie heard Aaron crying and went to see what was wrong. Claire was still asleep, so Charlie got the baby. When Aaron calmed down, Claire woke up wondering what was going on. She hadn't heard Aaron crying and Charlie started to worry something was wrong with her! Back in the jungle, Jack and Juliet were walking behind Kate and Sayid. Juliet was worried no one would accept her, but Jack told her not too. They trust him, so they would understand she wasn't that bad. Meanwhile, Charlie was watching Aaron with Hurley when Sawyer came up and said it looked like that movie "3 Men and a Baby"! Claire came up to them and looked really ill. Desmond, Sawyer, and Hurley even noticed she looked sick and asked if she was ok. She told them that she needed some aspirin and Sawyer went off to get it for her. As Sawyer was walking, that's when he saw JACK come out of the bushes! Sun and Jin noticed as well and she yelled to everyone that Jack was back! Sawyer kept looking and he saw Kate right behind Jack and he was relieved. Everyone went over to meet them all. Jack hugged Sun, Jin, and Hurley. Kate hugged Hurley as well. Sayid also did. And Jack hugged Charlie and Aaron! Then Jack's gaze met Sawyer and the 2 of them met, shook hands, and hugged!!! Sawyer then met Kate and they hugged, as Sawyer held her close. However, Sawyer then noticed JULIET! He yelled, "What is SHE doing here?" Everyone turned and saw Juliet standing alone on the beach. A few hours later, Juliet was sitting alone on the beach when Hurley came up to her to say hey. He asked where she was when he, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were taken, and Juliet replied that she had the day off. Hurley actually understood and asked if she was a doctor. She replied that she was more of a researcher and Hurley nodded. He then told her about Ethan and that when he kidnapped Claire, Charlie got angry and pointed out where Ethan was buried. Juliet thanked him and looked over. Later that night, the group was gathered around Jack and he explained to them all what happened while he was gone. He told them all that he was going to leave on a submarine, but Locke blew it up. Sawyer couldn't believe that they promised him that, but everyone did agree that Jack should have been able to go home to help them get off. Claire came over and joined them, but she looked really sick. A lot of the group kept asking Jack why Juliet came back and he told them all that she wasn't one of them. She was good. Not everyone was agreeing and an argument started, but Claire started to sway telling Charlie she didn't fell so good! She passed out and BLOOD started coming out of her mouth! Charlie screamed for Jack and he ran over to help move her! They lifted her up on the table and Jack went to work. Juliet tried to rush over but Sun and Jin stopped her. She wanted to help, but the couple asked why should she even care! She was stunned, and then she asked Kate what was going on. Kate told her what had happened to Claire, and Juliet understood. She said she could help! Kate asked why and Juliet said, "Because I DID THIS TO HER!" In flashbacks, a pregnant Rachel dropped off Juliet at the Mittletos Airfield for her to leave to Portland. They cried and hugged and Juliet promised she would be back in 6 months. Ethan and Richard Alpert said goodbye to Rachel, and they loaded Juliet in a van. Inside the building, Ethan was taking Juliet's vitals. Richard then gave Juliet some orange juice, but put a powder in it. When Juliet asked what it was, he replied that it was a tranquilizer! Juliet asked where they were going, and Richard replied that it was to their facility. They needed her and he could tell that Juliet wanted to leave. She drank all of it down and they next thing she knew, she woke up not on a plane, but in a SUBMARINE! Ethan helped her up and got her to climb up. She got on a dock and saw THE ISLAND! Ben then met her and he thanked her for coming. A few months later, Juliet was operating with Ethan and Goodwin, but the girl died. They were doing a c-section, but the mother and baby died. Juliet took it hard, and Ben met her by the ocean. She didn't understand why all "the Others" pregnant women died! They can get pregnant, but they died before giving birth! Nothing was making sense, so she told Ben that she wanted to go home. He wouldn't let her and said that Jacob needed her help! Juliet wanted to go back to Rachel and her future niece/nephew, but Ben said that Rachel's cancer came back! She was going to die! Juliet was shocked and Ben showed her the results he got from Mikhail! Ben said if she stayed, he would have her sister's cancer cured! Jacob would take care of it himself. Juliet agreed, and stayed there. Juliet also developed a romantic relationship with Goodwin, and in 2004 she got an X-Ray of Ben's back and saw the tumor on his spine! She rushed over and asked what was going on with him! He had lied to her! Ben said that he didn't and he didn't understand why he had cancer! No one there ever got it. Juliet then asked to go home! But Ben still wouldn't let her. She got so angry and left. The next day, Oceanic Flight 815 crashed! Ethan and Goodwin left to make a list of the survivors, and Ben had Juliet come with him. They went to The Flame and met Mikhail! He took them to the monitor room and he had all the TV's on to the news where it broke in that Oceanic Flight 815 disappeared! Mikhail was getting the flight manifest and the passenger list to see whom all was on board. Ben said that they need to know who everyone was. He then told Juliet that he had something to show her. Mikhail changed one of the TV's and Richard was in Florida! It was September 22nd, and he was at a playground. They showed Rachel and a little boy playing! Juliet was so happy! They were both alive. Ben explained that he kept his word and Rachel's cancer was gone. And that was her 3-year-old son Julian. Juliet was so overjoyed to see them. Ben then asked if she would stay on with them, and Juliet replied yes. Ben then said, "We have some new people now, and hopefully one of them is a mother!" Back in the present, Kate brought Juliet to Jack and she explained what was going on. However, Sawyer and Sayid were watching and didn't trust her at all. They were forming a plan! Juliet, meanwhile, explained to Jack and Kate what exactly happened with Claire. Ethan was taking blood samples from Claire while she was sleeping. They noticed she started to have the same symptoms as some of the mothers who died, so Ethan staged a fake kidnapping when the group found out he wasn't one of them, and they brought her in for Juliet to save. They injected Claire with a serum Juliet developed and they found out it worked! Claire is the only one they know of that survived and had a baby naturally! However, she needed one more shot before all the serum would be out of her body. Ethan had stashed it where he camped, and she needed to get it. Jack and Kate were stunned and Kate started to worry about Sun, but didn't say anything. Jack and Kate agreed for Juliet to get the medicine to cure Claire. The next day, Juliet ran thought the jungle to find the medicine. She found a tree with the EXACT same mark on her back! She found the box, but Sawyer and Sayid stopped her! They asked what she was doing, and she replied that it was for Claire. Sawyer opened it up and saw medicine bottles and a syringe. They weren't going to let her go, but she told them that they had no right to tell her this. They were immoral! She told Sayid that she knew about all of the people he had tortured! And then she told Sawyer, who she called James, about him, killing Frank in cold blood in Australia, not knowing he was set up for it! She said if they stopped her, she would tell everyone. They were shocked and let her go. Jack was looking over Claire with Charlie, when Juliet met them. Charlie didn't understand or believe Juliet and didn't want her hurting Claire. Jack then asked Charlie if he trusts him. Charlie looked him in the eye and said yeah. He promised that Juliet would save her. Charlie agreed and left. Juliet got ready to inject the serum, but Jack stopped her. He HAD to know it would work. Claire couldn't die, even though Jack has no idea Claire is his sister, he couldn’t let her die. Juliet looked into Jack's eyes, which were tearing up, and promised him that Claire would be fine. She said, "You all won't be alone." She then injected it into Claire. A few hours later, Claire woke up and asked Charlie what was going on. She was completely fine! It worked! Charlie was overjoyed as well as Aaron! Jack then met Juliet at the beach with supplies for her tent and thanked her for what she did. He was so happy Claire was alive. Juliet then asked Jack why he didn't care about what she did before. Jack told her that he could tell she wanted to get off the island. That made her "One of Us". Juliet was then putting her shelter up when she remembered something. It flashed back to Ben talking to her. He told her to say what she needed to do. Juliet said that she would take Austen in the jungle, fake being left behind, save Claire from the "illness", and make Jack and everyone trust her. Ben nodded, gave her a gas mask, and told her "See you in a WEEK!" Juliet then saw Jack, Claire, Charlie, and Aaron together and smiling, as an unknowing family. She smiled at Jack when he nodded towards her way, and she had a very accomplished look on her face!

Episode 3.17 "Catch 22"
A Desmond Episode

Desmond, Hurley, Charlie, and Jin were walking in the rain. They were headed out in the jungle. Charlie and Hurley were arguing about Superman and The Flash, when Charlie stepped on a wire! An arrow shot up and HIT HIM IN THE NECK! Charlie went down and they tried to save him, but it was too late. CHARLIE DIED! Desmond than stirred on the beach, where he was sitting by the rocks. It was only a vision, but he saw something in the sky during it. He then went to Hurley and told him that they needed to go camping. However, Hurley could tell that something else was up. Desmond than asked him about a cable on the beach. Hurley said he knew where it was, and told him. Then Hurley saw that Desmond wasn't trying to prevent it. He wanted it to happen! They went over to Jack's tent and Desmond and Jack talked, their friendship forming again. He asked Jack for his medical kit saying he sprained his ankle. Jack was skeptical at first, but then game it to Desmond. Meanwhile, Sawyer went up to Kate's tent to talk to her. However, when he walked in she was still getting dressed. After she got done, Sawyer asked awkwardly if Jack knew about what happened. Kate replied, "Yeah, but I didn't tell him. He saw it on their monitors." Sawyer got freaked out, and said "the Others" were perverts. Sawyer then tried to make a move on Kate, thinking Jack was out of the picture, but she wasn't having it. Kate just walked away and left him there. Desmond was having a hard time figuring out how to get Jin involved, but Hurley helped. He told Jin that they were going camping and Jin actually agreed! All that was left was Charlie. However, Desmond tricked Charlie into coming by telling him that he saw something else. Not Charlie's death. Charlie agreed to help and brought his guitar along with him. The 3 of them walked the beach and found the cable the Hurley and Sayid found previously. They decided not to go into the jungle, but camp there that night. That night at the beach, Kate was eating oatmeal when Jack walked over towards their makeshift kitchen. He said hey to her and asked how she was. Kate said she was fine, but it was weird being back to normal and not trying to escape from "the Others". Jack laughed and told her to be happy with it. Kate smiled back and said she was. Jack asked her what she was going to be doing later, and Kate said that she was washing dishes, in the ocean. Jack laughed again and told her to have fun, and then he asked if he could borrow her spoon. Kate got it and licked it before giving it to Jack, obviously flirting. He rolled his eyes and giggled again, and her face got so red. After Jack left, she heard Juliet laugh and looked over. Jack and Juliet were eating dinner together! Kate got so jealous and dropped the dishes! Which she then ran to a shocked Sawyer, telling him to be quiet. And she slept with him, even though she was crying after being hurt by Jack. Back at Desmond's group, Jin was telling ghost stories in Korean, but Charlie and Hurley actually understood and screamed during it! Charlie then went over to Desmond and saw his picture. Desmond explained about Penny and said that he hoped she was looking for him. Suddenly, they heard a noise and it sounded like a HELLICOPTER! But then it sounded really weird and CRASHED in the ocean! But they saw that a red light blinked in the distance and Desmond said someone jumped out and was in the jungle! In flashbacks, Desmond was becoming a MONK! He believed that this was the plan God wanted for him, just like Abraham with his son Isaac. He even helped to bottle up the Abby's wine. However, one day a man came to see him and punched Desmond in the face among the other brothers. Desmond then went to see the man, Derek, and went to talk with his sister Ruth. She was Desmond's EX-FIANCE! Desmond tried to explain to her that God showed him a sign to be a monk, but Ruth wouldn't accept it. She told Desmond that all he was was a coward. Desmond than got drunk that night, and the head monk told him that he wasn't cut out to be a monk. God had another plan for him. The head monk as had a picture on his desk of the elderly woman Desmond met who told him he had to go to the island! Desmond tried to believe it and left the Abby. He was helping loading crates of the wine in a woman's car, and that woman was PENELOPE! Desmond then believed that God was leading him in a new path. Back in the present, Jack was helping Juliet with her things, when Sawyer came over. However, Sawyer wanted to know if Jack wanted to play ping-pong. They did and Sawyer was actually beating him at it. Sawyer than asked if Jack had talked to Kate recently. Jack nodded and said he saw her last night, before he went to eat with Juliet. It than dawned on Sawyer that Kate was jealous and had used him, since she couldn’t be with Jack. Jack ended up winning the game, because Sawyer was plenty distracted! Back in the jungle, the 4 found some of the things the parachutist lost. There was a book, a satellite PHONE, and a PHOTO OF DESMOND AND PENNY! Desmond than ran off saying they have to find HER! At the beach, Sawyer walked up to Kate and gave her a Phil Collins cassette tape he found, but it was actually Bernard's. However, he then told her that he knew Kate saw Jack and Juliet together and got jealous. That was why she was with him. Kate tried to explain that it wasn't, but she was caught. Sawyer than said "Next time, just ask." And he walked away. Kate was stunned. Meanwhile, it started to rain and Desmond was leading the group. However, Charlie and Hurley started arguing about Superman and The Flash! Desmond realized Charlie was going to die and told him to DUCK! He pushed Charlie out of the way and the arrow landed beside his head! Charlie than realized Desmond lied to him, but he also figured out Desmond believes the woman is Penny. Hurley and Jin then yelled for them! They found the girl! Desmond climbed up, while Hurley, Charlie, and Jin formed a circle with the trap to catch her. Desmond cut the girl down and she fell. He then rushed over taking the mask off, saying, "It's ok Penny. I'm here." However, it wasn't Penny! It was someone else! But she did wake up saying "DESMOND?" Desmond was shocked and had no idea who she was!

Episode 3.18 "D.O.C."
A Sun Episode

Sun was in her garden tending to her plants. She heard noises and got scared, but saw it was just Jack. He told her not to be afraid. It was just him. He started to help her out and asked how she and the baby were doing. Sun said she was fine and that the morning sickness was gone. Jack then paused and asked if there was any bleeding. Sun was confused and said no. Jack then shook it off and said that he was glad to be back. Sun thanked him again for helping, but she still wondered why he asked that. Meanwhile, Jin, Charlie, Desmond, and Hurley were tending to the new girl and she started speaking Spanish! Hurley understood and said that she's dying. Desmond look around her and saw that a branch PUNCHERED HER LUNG! She needed help fast. Desmond was going to run off and get Jack, but Charlie told him not too with "the Others" in the jungle and they could find them. However, Hurley was looking through the backpack and accidentally fired off a flare gun! It shot up in the sky! Hurley then said "Ooops". Back at the beach, Kate was helping Sun fix her tent and she asked her about Jack. Kate said that he had made a deal with them to go home, but everyone could still trust them. However, Sun started worrying and said she thinking "the Others" want to take her baby! Kate told her no and that Jack wouldn't do that, because of Juliet. Then Sun got angry and raced off toward Juliet. She started yelling at her and told her to tell her the truth. She didn't care if some people were being nice to her she wanted answers. Juliet told her that the pregnant women all died. Sun was shocked and didn't understand. Kate than pulled her away and told her to leave Juliet alone. Later, the 4 guys were still with the new girl, who was mumbling Chinese, when they heard noises coming from the jungle! They went to see who it was and it was MIKHAIL! He wasn't dead! He turned and ran when he saw whom it was, so Jin took off after him! He started to fight Jin off, but Jin knew karate and totally beat him down! When he got a hold of Mikhail, Desmond came up and pointed the flare gun at him saying he would use it. Charlie recognized him, and said that was the man Locke supposedly killed. Mikhail told them that he could help the girl, if they decided to let him go. Charlie wasn't buying it, however Desmond agreed and they let Mikhail work on her. That night, Sun was sleeping when someone put a hand over her mouth! She tried to scream, but it was Juliet! She told her that if she wanted to save her baby, she had to go with her. Sun was confused, but decided to go with Juliet. They walked in the jungle and Juliet told her that she was going to take her to their medical station. Sun then told her that Kate and Claire didn't find anything. But Juliet said they were looking in the wrong place. She then told Sun that there were 2 possibilities. If she conceived off island, then her and the baby should be fine like Claire and Aaron. But, if it was on island, that was a whole different story. They were going to find out the conception date. In flashbacks, Sun and Jin had just gotten married. They were both really happy. Then one day, an older woman asked Sun if that was she in the paper for her wedding announcement. Sun said yes. The woman congratulated her, but then she changed. She said if Sun didn't pay her $100 thousand, she was going to rat out that Jin was a fisherman and a prostitute’s son! Sun got really freaked out and went along. That night as her and Jin were unpacking, she asked if he had any pictures of his parents. Jin said no, because his father died while he was in the Army. Sun then said she thought it was when he was 16. However, Jin said she heard wrong. Sun investigated it, and found Mr. Kwon! He was so happy to meet his daughter-in-law, but begged her not to tell Jin that they met. She promised, and the Mr. Kwon told her about Jin's mother and that she was with so many different men. He had no idea if he was Jin's real father, but Jin was left as a baby and he raised him as his son. Then he had Sun promise again not to tell Jin that his mother was STILL ALIVE! A few days later, Sun asked her father for the money. Mr. Paik got mad, but Sun told him that she knows what he really does and would out him if he didn't. Mr. Paik did give her the money, but told her that Jin would be really working for him now! Before Sun left, Jin found the money and told her to give it back. Without telling Jin the truth, she said she would. Sun then met the older woman and gave her the money. Sun the said, "Take it, or I'll tell Jin that you’re his MOTHER AND MY FAMILY WILL COME AFTER YOU!" Jin's mom agreed and Sun left. Back in the present, Mikhail was able to get the branch out and fix the girl. She started speaking Italian, which Mikhail understood. Desmond asked what she said, and all Mikhail said was she said thank you, but couldn’t be trusted. Sun and Juliet made it to the medical hatch, and went inside. It was still tore up and the power was off, so Juliet turned it on. Sun then figured she should tell Juliet the truth, and told her that before coming to the island she had an affair. Juliet then promised her that they would find out who the real father was. They went inside the locker room and Juliet opened one. She pulled a hidden lever and part of the wall moved! Sun helped her push fake lockers out of the way, and saw all of their equipment was being stored, including Aaron's baby room things! Sun asked what this place was, and Juliet said it was where they took the women to die, making them think they would be fine. Back in the jungle, Mikhail was done with the girl and said it was time for him to leave. Desmond let him, but Jin started screaming "Phone"! He tracked down Mikhail again and found that he had the satellite phone! Desmond took it back and Charlie said to kill him! However, Desmond said no, and they let Mikhail leave. Back in the Staff, Juliet was getting the ultrasound machine ready while Sun told her that Jin was sterile. However, Juliet said that didn't matter on the island. The island made men's sperm count increase 5 TIMES! Sun then asked why Juliet was helping. Juliet then said before she came to the island she was able to help people have babies. Now, all she saw was 9 women dying. She couldn't take loosing another mother and child. Later, the machine started working and Sun's baby popped on screen! And the heartbeat was really strong! Juliet said that it was really healthy. Sun asked if it was a boy or girl, but Juliet said it was still too early. Then Juliet went to check the conception date. It was about 8 weeks old, and would have been conceived after the plane crash. It was Jin's! Sun was so overjoyed that it was Jin's baby! Juliet was going to explain what to do next, but all Sun cared right now was that it was her husband's. The next day, Sun and Juliet started to leave and Sun asked her how long she has left. Juliet told her probably 2 months, since they don't make it to their 3rd trimester. Juliet said she would try everything to make her pregnancy work and for her and her baby to live. Sun nodded and thanked her. Juliet told her she had to go back in and left Sun outside. Juliet went back to the locker room and pulled out a tape recorder! She said, "Ben, Sun Kwon is 8 weeks pregnant. The baby is Jin's. We'll have to monitor her. I'm still taking samples from Austen and the other women. I'll let you know if there are more results. And I hate you." Back in the jungle, Desmond and Charlie were still arguing about why they let Mikhail go also making a stretcher with Jin. While, Hurley was pretending to talk to his mom on the phone. That's when the girl woke up and asked in English, "Were am I?" Hurley was stunned and said she crashed on an island. He then told her they were survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. The girl got confused and said it wasn't possible. They found the plane wreckage. Everyone was DEAD!

Episode 3.19 "The Brig"
A Locke Episode

Locke was looking at a red folder. As he was reading, someone was yelling really loudly and Locke told them to shut up. He then burned the folder and left. Meanwhile, Kate woke up with a regretful look on her face and tried to leave without Sawyer waking up. However, Sawyer caught her and asked what she was doing. Kate covered her tracks and said she was going to get some sleep in her tent. Sawyer let her go, and after she left, he got his gun and walked out. He saw Hurley and Jin standing by a tent and acting really weird. He asked what they were doing, and the 2 tried to cover it up saying they were going to use the bathroom. Sawyer shrugged it off and went out in the jungle. That's when someone shown a flashlight in his face! It was Locke! Locke told Sawyer that he wanted him to follow him. He kidnapped Ben and needed Sawyer to KILL him! Sawyer was shocked and told him no. However, Locke said he was disappointed and started to leave, but Sawyer grew curious and decided to follow him. The next day, Charlie was getting some food when Jack walked up to him. Jack asked where everyone went, and Charlie said they went camping. Jack bought the lie, but told him to start including him again in the fun. After Jack left, Charlie rushed back to Desmond's tent where the girl was laying. He asked Desmond if they should get Jack to check her out. Desmond then asked Charlie and Hurley if they trust Jack anymore. They both said no because of Juliet, and Desmond replied to get someone they do! Back in the jungle, Locke and Sawyer were walking and Sawyer told him he couldn't kill Ben. However, Locke said he knew about the man in Sydney, and that Sawyer thought he was the man who conned his parents and made James' dad pull a murder-suicide! Sawyer asked how he knew all this, and Locke said "the Others" have files on everyone. Sawyer than attacked Locke and pinned him to the ground with a knife! He asked for the truth and Locke told him that it wasn't Ben who told him. He saw the file himself. Sawyer backed off and put the knife away. Locke then led the way again. Meanwhile, Charlie and Hurley found Sayid in the jungle digging, and told him that they needed him help. Sayid followed and they let him in Desmond's tent where the girl was. She was awake now, so Sayid questioned her. She said her name was Naomi Dorritt. She was hired by Penelope Widmore to find Desmond, but she never met her. They were just given coordinates and didn't even know an island existed. Sayid then told her about the plane crash, and Naomi said that it was on all the TV screens in the world that rescue found the wreckage of Flight 815 in an underwater trench. The plane was intact and the bodies were still in there. Sayid said it must have been a mistake since they clearly weren't dead. Naomi agreed with him. Sayid then asked if Jack knew. Desmond said no, and Sayid said "Good. Don't tell Kate either." Sayid then asked Naomi how she was contacting her group. She handed him the satellite phone, but said she wasn't going to rescue him. Back in the jungle, Locke led Sawyer to the BLACK ROCK! The ship impressed Sawyer and the 2 went in. They went to the Brig, or the holding cell. Locke said Ben was in there and Sawyer left his knife with Locke. However, when Sawyer went in, Locke shut the door on him! He locked Sawyer in there! Sawyer got angry and kept yelling for Locke to open it! Locke waited out there, and while he was waiting Danielle showed up! They both greeted each other and Danielle said she was getting dynamite. Locke pointed the way and Danielle left. Sawyer was still yelling and the guy was still trying to yell too. Sawyer couldn't take it anymore, so he pulled of the hood! It wasn't Ben; it was LOCKE'S DAD COOPER! In flashbacks, we got to see what Locke was up to while he was with "the Others". He saw his dad in that room and tried to ask Ben how he got there. However, Ben wouldn't say, so Locke took the gag out of Cooper's mouth. He then bit Locke's hand and Tom tazered him! Ben shut the door and said they would be leaving the next day and they wanted Locke to come with them. Locke agreed, and Ben told him to say goodbye to Kate. A few days later, "the Others" were camped out in the jungle by what looked like a TOTEM POLL! Locke talked to Cindy and she said they were waiting for him to come. Everyone looked up to him. They all knew he was healed by the island and could walk again. They were happy he was with them. Locke then went to see Ben and he was listening to Juliet's TAPE about Sun being pregnant! He stopped it and thanked Locke for coming. Ben got up from his chair and used a cane. He was healing! Locked nodded, but then Ben said that he had to do one more thing to learn more about the island. He had to KILL HIS FATHER! Locke looked over and Cooper was strapped to the totem poll! That night, Ben led Locke up there and gave him a knife. He said if he did this sacrifice, he could finally let go of his father and be healed emotionally. Locke shook his head and said no. Then Cooper started yelling at Locke saying he was a coward and didn't know what this place really was! Locke got really angry and told him to stop. Ben kept saying to kill him, but Locke couldn't do it. He just punched Cooper out. Ben was disappointed in him, and everyone else was staring at him as he walked away. The next day, Locke was sitting by himself, when Richard Alpert sat with him. He told Locke Ben only wanted him to feel embarrassed. They knew he couldn't kill his father. However, Richard had a way out. He gave Locke a red folder. Inside was information about Sawyer! Richard said he could kill Cooper. Locke asked why, but Richard said to keep reading! That night, "the Others" left, but told Locke if he really wanted to know the island secrets, Cooper had to be dead. They would leave a trail for him if he succeeded. Locke then took Cooper and brought him to the Black Rock. Back in the present, Sawyer took the gag out of Cooper's mouth and asked who he was. Cooper said he was Locke's father, but they were all dead. He said he saw it on the news about the plane crash and that everyone died. Which he then believed he was in hell, since he had a car accident and one of the paramedics smiled at him and he blacked out. Then he woke up on the island. Sawyer didn't believe him, since he knew he wasn't dead. Cooper then said that Locke shouldn’t be walking since he threw him out of a window and he was paralyzed! Sawyer was shocked and didn't believe him. Cooper said that was wise since he was a con man! Sawyer's eyes went wide and asked what his name was! Cooper laughed and said he went by many names. He listed them off but one caught Sawyer's attention. TOM SAWYER! Sawyer then asked if he was ever in Jasper, Alabama. Cooper laughed and said yes. Sawyer than said that his name was Sawyer as well! He then pulled out his letter for Cooper to read! Cooper read it, and asked what this was. Sawyer asked if he knew a woman there named Mary Ford. Cooper gave a creepy smile and said yes. COOPER IS THE REAL SAWYER! Sawyer replied that was his mom, and his dad killed her. Cooper said he shouldn’t be blamed if his father pulled a murder-suicide because his mom was stupid and wanted him to take her money. Sawyer got really angry and told him to stop! Cooper ripped up the letter and laughed! That's when Sawyer grabbed the chains and STRANGLED HIM! Cooper DIED and fell to the floor. Locke rushed in and saw Sawyer's shocked face and Cooper dead. Back at the beach, Kate was walking when she found Hurley, Charlie, and Sayid working on the phone! Kate asked what they were doing and Hurley said they found it in the luggage. However, Kate didn't believe them, and Sayid told her the truth. Kate then walked up to Jack and Juliet, who were talking, and asked to see Jack in private. Jack said she could say it in front of Juliet. However, Kate got angry and said it was important and that she didn't need to know. Jack got angry as well, and said she could say it. Kate then yelled that there was a girl, Naomi, and she fell from a helicopter, was injured, and came to find Desmond. Jack and Juliet exchanged knowing glances and Jack asked why no one told him. Kate replied, "No one trusts you anymore because of her!" Juliet then looked at Jack and said, "We should tell her." Jack said no, and Kate replied, "Tell me what." Jack told her "Not now." He then left to look at Naomi and Juliet gave Kate a look wanting to tell her something. Back in the jungle, Sawyer threw up from what he had done. Locke came over and thanked him. Cooper needed justice for what he did to both of them. Sawyer felt so guilty, but Locke gave him a tape recorder. He said that Juliet was a mole and now Sawyer had proof to rat her out! He also warned him that "the Others" were going to RAID the beach camp in 3 days and take all the pregnant women! And they would kill whoever tried to stop them! Sawyer thanked him and asked where Locke was going. He said he had his own journey now alone. He said goodbye to James, and took Cooper's body and headed back to "the Others" camp.

Ben was talking to Richard and Tom about where his tape recorder was, when Locke appeared carrying his father's body! He placed it in front of Ben and said he was ready to learn the Island's secrets! Ben brought Locke back into his tent and explained that everything he would learn would be great. He would finally be able to learn about Jacob and what this entire island does. However, Locke didn't believe Ben when he said Jacob was really in charge, because Ben's hand was shaking. Ben didn't say anything but stared straight ahead. Meanwhile, at the beach Sawyer was back. He looked around and waited until Sayid passed. He told Sayid that he was with Locke, but he had gone back with "the Others". Sayid asked what else Sawyer wanted, and Sawyer showed him the tape recorder. Back at "the Others" camp, Mikhail ran out of the jungle asking for Ben. He told Ben that he met some of the crash survivors and a girl parachuted out of the sky. Her party was on a boat 80 miles off the coast. Ben had no idea who she was. Locke suddenly stepped out and Mikhail got angry! He wanted to know why Locke was there when he tried to kill him before. Ben said that Locke was one of them now, but Mikhail still didn't believe him. Locke then asked Ben when they were going to meet Jacob! All of "the Others" looked shocked and Mikhail said it wasn't fair for Locke to go when NO ONE else had! Locke then charged forward and knocked out Mikhail! He then told Ben he was ready to go. Later, Locke and Ben were getting water when Alex showed up. Alex told Locke if he were going to meet Jacob, he would need this. She handed him a GUN! Then as she left, she told her father "Happy Birthday". Back at the beach, Sawyer and Sayid were discussing what to do about Juliet, since she was gone. Kate walked up and asked what was going on and Sayid asked where Juliet was. Kate said that Jack and Juliet left right after she told them about Naomi. Sayid got angry and asked why she did this, all while Sawyer had no idea what was going on. Kate then said, "Jack needed to know. He's a doctor and our leader." She was going to help Jack no matter what. Sayid left and told Sawyer to play the tape for Kate. Ben and Locke then got ready and left "the Others" camp as everyone watched amazed. That night, Ben and Locke reached what looked like an abandoned house with a trail of ashes. Ben said that this was where Jacob lived! He told Locke to turn off his flashlight, since Jacob doesn't like modern things. Ben lit a lantern and the 2 walked in. Back at the beach, the castaways were having a group meeting. Claire didn't understand how everyone thought they were dead. Sun said that it had to have been another plane wreckage. Naomi, who's healthier now, told them that there was a rescue boat off the coast and if her phone could work she could contact them. However, Sawyer said they had more important issues. Jack and Juliet. Kate, Sun, and Claire all said that Jack would never do anything to hurt them. And Sun admitted that she thinks Juliet is a good person. But Sawyer played the tape and they all heard Juliet telling Ben about Sun being pregnant and them wanting to monitor Kate and the rest of the women! They were all confused and scared and that's when Jack and Juliet came back! Jack asked what was going on and they told him about the tape. Juliet wasn't surprised and told Sawyer to turn it over! He wasn't going to at first, but Jack told him to. Sawyer did and Ben had a message on it! It said "Juliet, don't worry about Austin's samples. We don’t have enough time to test them. Get Kwon ready and mark anyone else’s tents you think could be pregnant. We'll be coming in 2 days to take them!" Everyone was shocked, scared, and confused about why Juliet let them hear this. Jack then said he's been forming a plan to get rid of "the Others" and Juliet has been helping him with it! In flashbacks, Ben wasn't born on the island; he was born in the woods in Portland, Oregon! His mother Emily died right after giving birth to him 2 months early. Ben's dad Roger blamed Ben for killing his mother. This caused Ben to feel like he was less important. Roger got a job offer for the Dharma Initiative and moved Ben to the island with him! They were welcomed by the welcoming committee, watched an Orientation Video with Marvin Candle, Roger got a job as a workman, and Ben went to school with his childhood sweetheart Annie! Annie even made dolls for his birthday, one of her and one of Ben for them to keep of each other! However, they kept getting attacked by The Hostiles. Roger kept getting drunk and Ben couldn't take it anyone. He ran out of the house after seeing HIS MOM in his bedroom window and stopped at the sonic fence! His MOTHER was on the other side! He wanted to be with his mom, but she stopped him from crossing. She told Ben it "wasn't his time yet". She left into the jungle and Ben was so confused. A few days later, Ben decided to cross the fence. He gotten the password and typed it in. The fence went down and he let his WHITE RABBIT go before him. The bunny was fine so he crossed in. He started to call for his mom, but someone else came! It was RICHARD! He looked EXACTLY THE SAME AS HE DOES NOW! Ben asked if he was a Hostile, and Richard said that he hated that name, but yes he was a native. He asked what Ben was doing out in the jungle. Ben said he saw his mom in the jungle, but she was dead. This really interested Richard and Ben wanted to go with him. However, Richard said he would have to wait. Patience was the key! Richard left and Ben went back home. Years later, Ben was now in his 20's/30's and he was working with his father. It was his birthday and they decided to get drunk in the van. However, while they were there Roger said he was sorry for blaming Ben. It wasn't his fault his mom died. But Ben then said he was sorry and put on a GAS MASK! He released the gas and killed his father! That's how Hurley found the Dharma Van and Roger's body! Ben went back to the barracks and saw EVERYONE DEAD! It was The Purge! He met The Hostiles and Richard took off his mask, STILL LOOKING THE SAME! Ben did as well, and Richard welcomed him to their group! Back in the present, Ben and Locke went inside the house. It was dark but there were things inside of it. Ben went to an empty chair and started to talk to it! He told Locke that this was JACOB! Locke didn't believe him saying Jacob wasn't there. Ben was confused and told Jacob that he was trying to get Locke to understand. Locke got angry and went to leave, but he heard someone with a deep voice say "HELP ME!" He turned around thinking it was Ben and shown his flashlight! That's when things went crazy! The lantern threw across the room! Ben was showed back into the wall hard!! And things started to break! And for a split second SOMEONE WAS IN THE CHAIR! Locke ran out of the house and Ben followed shaken. Locke said he was making this all up, but Ben was scared. He said that Jacob was really real! The next day Ben tried to tell Locke that Jacob was real. He wasn't crazy or faking it. However, Locke said it was just like the "Wizard of Oz". Ben was lying. Ben then admitted that he was lying about a few things. Then told Locke that he was originally a part of the Dharma Initiative and he had something to show him. Ben led Locke to a mass grave. Ben said that this was The Purge. “The Others” killed everyone, expect for him. That's what really happened to his people. Locke tried to ask more questions, but Ben SHOT HIM! Locke fell in the grave and was bleeding! Ben asked what Jacob said to him. Locke said, "Help Me." And Ben said to tell him the truth. Locke then spoke "He said HELP ME"! Ben looked up and said "I hope Jacob gets to help you now, because you're going to need it!" And he left Locke there to DIE!

Episode 3.21 "Greatest Hits"
A Charlie Episode

Jack led everyone to a secluded spot in the jungle and they all met with Danielle! Jack had Danielle get him dynamite and they were going to BLOW UP "the Others" when they attacked the next day! Sayid then came up with the way to contact Naomi's group, if Charlie would go to The Looking Glass, an underwater hatch that was completely flooded. However, Karl came to the beach camp because Alex had told him that Ben changed his mind and was sending Ryan, Tom, and more "Others" to take ALL the women that night! So he came to warn them. Sawyer said Karl could be trusted, and Jack and Sayid came up with a quick fix to their plan. They would 3 shooters, Jin, Bernard, and Sayid, who would trigger more dynamite to blow up! Jack wanted to stay and be a shooter, but Sayid told him no. It was time for Jack to start leading again! Jack agreed and he left with the rest as they headed with Danielle towards the radio tower. As they were leaving, Jack and Kate got their things and joked they were leaving again. Everyone left, leaving the shooters behind trying to go to safety. Charlie agreed to go to The Looking Glass, which is the underwater station and where that cable on the beach leads too. He knew it would be a suicide mission, but Desmond told him from another vision, that he would save everyone if he flipped the switch to stop blocking the signals that Ben was. Charlie said goodbye to Claire and told her to try to worry and then said goodbye to Aaron and telling him that he loves him, leaving his DriveShaft ring behind to pass it on to Aaron. And then Charlie hugged Hurley and told him goodbye. He also wrote a note for Claire telling her his Greatest Hits or memories and she was his number 1! In flashbacks, they showed Charlie's top 5 favorite memories in order! 5. Hearing DriveShaft on the radio for the first time. 4. His dad Simon teaching him how to swim. 3. Liam giving Charlie the family ring/DriveShaft ring to pass it on to his future son. 2. Charlie saving a woman (Nadia!) and she called him a Hero. And #1: The night of the crash when Charlie first met Claire! In the present, Desmond, however, wanted to save Charlie again so he was going to dive into the underwater hatch, but Charlie knocked him out! He said Desmond had to stop saving him. It was his time. Leaving Claire’s note behind with Desmond, Charlie dove in and almost drowned getting to the station! But it ended up being that the Looking Glass wasn't flooded, but there were 2 women in it! Charlie was alive but they held him up at gunpoint!

Episode 3.22 "Through the Looking Glass"
A Jack Episode

Jack was leading the group to the radio tower to change the signal. Jack really was tending to the groups needs and finally leading them! When the night came and they only heard 2 of the dynamite traps blow up. He had to keep everyone calm. And Rose told him, "If you say "Live Together, Die Alone" again, I'm going to have to punch you in the face"! Jack listened and kept the group calm till morning. Sawyer and Kate were having a huge argument. Kate noticed that Sawyer was back to his old ways. And now their relationship is off. He decided to go back, but told Kate to stay there and he didn't want her with him. Juliet told them that she was going to help Sawyer, and she kissed Jack goodbye. Kate got jealous and Jack noticed it, but he was completely surprised by Juliet as well. However, Jack later talked to Kate and told her that Sawyer was just trying to protect her. He would have done the same thing. Kate asked why, and Jack said, "Because I love you." Kate was stunned and smiled as Jack walked away. He confessed his feelings! Sayid, Bernard, and Jin waited for "the Others" to come and their plan almost worked. They killed 7 "Others", but Ryan and Tom were still alive. They caught the three, tied them up and contacted Ben. Ben told them to watch them until further notice. Meanwhile, Sawyer and Juliet formed a friendship and made their way to help the shooters. But Hurley came along, but wasn't welcome. They told him he would slow them down. However, when they got to the beach, they saw Sayid, Jin, and Bernard tied up and went in to help, but a noise came from behind! It was Hurley DRIVING THE DHARMA VAN! Hurley RAN OVER Ryan and it caused Sawyer and Juliet to get guns. Sayid killed another "Other" with his LEGS! And Sawyer killed Tom saying it was because he took Walt. The killed them all and were ok. Meanwhile, Ben decided to cut off Jack's group and try to make them stay on the island. He told Richard to take the rest of "the Others" to the TEMPLE! He then heard from Bonnie and Greta in The Looking Glass hatch and told Mikhail to help them and kill them and Charlie! He heard from Tom that Karl had told Jack's group they were coming and left, so he had Alex come with him. Ben said she belonged with them now and was taking her to them. When the two groups met, Jack was stunned! Kate went around and looked to see if there was anyone else. There wasn't, so Jack went to talk with Ben while Danielle stared at Alex! Ben told Jack in private that he had Sayid, Bernard, and Jin captured and would kill them if Jack didn't get the phone. Ben said that Naomi was bad and that there were really bad people coming to kill them all, NOT RESCUE! Jack yelled at him saying he wouldn't and when time passed, Jack heard 3 shots and then silence! He was devastated when the 3 were killed and he knocked Ben to the ground and punched him out cold! Jack brought him back and left to clean up. Kate went after him. Meanwhile, Alex went to tie Ben up and was so mad at him. Then she noticed Danielle was staring at her. She asked who she was, and Ben told her it was her MOTHER! Alex was stunned and Danielle was so happy! After 16 years, they FINALLY reunited! Kate then found Jack and helped him clean his hands and knuckles. He told her that Sayid, Bernard, and Jin were dead but they couldn't tell anyone else yet. Kate agreed and they both were really scared of what was happening next. However, when they were walking later, they heard Hurley come on the radio! Jack answered and Hurley said he saved the day. "The Others" were dead and Sayid, Bernard, Jin, Juliet, and Sawyer were all ok! Everyone was so happy and Jack was relieved. Ben was lying to them again. Claire then walked over with Aaron, and Jack held the radio for her. Hurley told her that they still hadn't heard from Desmond or Charlie yet, but hoped to soon. Now Locke was still in that pit and wasn't dead. But he was PARALYZED AGAIN! He was so devastated that he was going to kill himself, when a voice called to him. It was WALT! Walt told him that his journey wasn't over. He had work to do! Locke smiled and got up! Charlie was in the underwater hatch and was being tortured by Bonnie and Greta. He told them about Juliet and that she was helping them. They had no idea how he got there and called Ben for help. Desmond meanwhile swam down there to help Charlie out! He hid, while Mikhail came too! Ben gave Mikhail orders to kill Bonnie, Greta, and Charlie, so he killed Greta and shot Bonnie, but before he could kill her, Desmond shot him with a harpoon! Charlie was overjoyed and asked Bonnie for the code to stop the jamming. She gave him set of numbers, but he couldn't get them all down. So she told him that the tones were of "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys! She died, and Charlie went to work. He figured out which numbers to use and the yellow light went off! However, a red light came on and there was a transmission! It was PENNY! She asked whom Charlie was and he told her about the Oceanic crash and that they needed help! He then yelled for Desmond! Penny was stunned and found out Desmond was there! Charlie went to say about Naomi, but Penny had no idea who she was! She wasn't with her and she hadn't sent out rescue! Maybe Ben was right! Desmond raced over, but Charlie looked out the window! MIKHAIL WAS THERE! He wasn't dead! He had a grenade, and Charlie knew what was going to happen. He shut the door on Desmond so he wouldn't come in. The grenade went off and water flew into the room! As it was rising, Charlie wrote on his hand "Not Penny's boat" and placed it by the window. Desmond saw it and understood what it meant. Charlie nodded and floated away, saying a prayer before he DIED. Aaron then suddenly started crying, sensing Charlie was gone, but Claire had no idea what was wrong. Suddenly, Naomi's phone turned green and the signal was working! Charlie did it! She raced to Jack and showed him! They left Ben tied to a tree as they found the radio tower. Danielle led Jack, Kate, Alex, and Naomi up there. She turned off her distress signal and they all went back outside to make the call! As she was waiting, Ben warned them that it was a mistake. Naomi's people would only kill them! However, Danielle knocked him out! But something struck Naomi and she fell down DEAD! LOCKE KILLED HER WITH HIS KNIFE! Everyone was shocked and Jack was furious! He picked up the phone and waited for an answer. Locke told him Ben was right and it was a mistake to leave. Everyone belonged on the island! Jack didn't care, and Locke held a gun at him saying he would kill him! Kate started to freak out and Jack said to shoot him! However, Locke decided at the last moment to not kill Jack and walked away. Suddenly, a man's voice came on the phone. Jack asked who it was and they asked who he was. Jack told them about the plane crash and the guy said they would bring rescue immediately! Everyone cheered, hugged, and was so excited. Jack and Kate looked at each other smiling widely! They were going home! Now we were led to believe that Jack was having a flashback, but it was a FLASHFOWARD! Something major bad happened between the castaways being rescued and what we saw in this. Jack was an alcoholic, addicted to prescription medication, and had a really long beard. Jack had turned into his father and Charlie. He even contemplated suicide, but was stopped by a car crash and he saved a mom and her young son, becoming a hero again. But he felt like he didn't deserve it. While he was at the hospital getting cleaned up, Sarah came in as his emergency contact. She was 9 months pregnant and married again. She made sure he was ok saying he did a good job saving those people. Jack wanted to work again, but the new chief of surgery told him it was a bad idea. He needed to get better. Jack then went to a funeral, but we never saw who it was, just that he was the only one who went. Jack had seen a newspaper article about the man on a plane, and it was dated April 5th 2007. He kept calling someone saying they had to meet. Jack also had these maps and was drawing on them to find something. When he finally got a hold of the person, he said to meet him at their usual spot. At LAX, Jack waited for a car to pull up. He walked out and met the person. It was KATE! She was stunned seeing him in that bad of a condition. She was driving a fancy car and seemed like she wasn't a fugitive anymore. Jack seemed happy seeing her again saying it had been too long. She asked what he wanted and he showed her the obituary of the person that died. She hadn't heard and was tearing up. Jack asked why she wasn't there and she said he knew she couldn't go. Jack then told her that they have to leave. They have to go back to the ISLAND! They made a horrible mistake getting rescued and now everyone was paying. Kate didn't understand, but Jack had been trying to find it. They NEED to go back. Kate tried to leave but Jack stopped her. He needed her with him again and they had to go back to the island. He was making trips all over the Pacific, especially Sydney hoping that he would crash there again. Kate was stunned and she seemed so worried about him. It was breaking her heart to see Jack like this. But as much as she wanted to leave with him, she had to go back home. HE was waiting for her. Jack was disappointed but as she drove away, he tried to figure out how exactly to get home to the ISLAND!
